Why are people suddenly starting to improve the low-quality mods from other sites?

we are doing it because we dont necessarily have the skills to create our own (idk about crydev but i dont) so we are leaning by improving these mods to work and look better

Thats a silly question....why are you improving something that sucks?

because they suck and can be improved...so we have more mods to choose from :rolleyes:

Because they're easy projects for people who don't really know jbeam. They can get away with not doing a lot, because the mod is already working and driveable.

Not saying this is the case with every improved mod, but it seems like it's the case with most.

Even so, different deform values for each side of the car isn't improving a mod or hard to avoid.

k, well maybe actually learning the basics of jbeam first could help. Like 6677 said, stuff like different deform values for each side isn't hard to avoid, in fact it shows that most likely someone went through the jbeam and added a random number to the start of each deform value then released it as fixed :|

Its funny as most of the fixed mods are genuinely worse than the original.

Gotta agree with a lot of people here. The "improved mods" are not really improved. It's just a way for people with no Jbeam skill to slap their name onto something they didn't improve.

I don't care what sort new "soft, warm and fuzzy" era we are in now but I will continue to call out crap mods ceaselessly.

I'm not interested in flushing the heritage of this program and it's founding modders down the toilet while we all play
fucking tiddly winks with sponge bob squarepants.

I have a simple answer to the question. Attention whoring. Look at me I'm a modder now, worship me.
reality, changing the deform values with no idea what you are doing isn't nodding or an improvement. Christ, one of these improved mods is not symmetrical and another has the interior removed. Most have more vibrations than they started with.

so far not one mod has been improved in my eyes. These should have been private projects rather than being whored across the forums

Do you see this as an "improvment"?
