cant wait to download this and throw in a time! (it will be miles off the guys above me though) well with 2 spins, 2 rolls, and 1 missed checkpoint on the short version i got 3:02.65 with a keyboard in automatic ill try to do better - - - Updated - - - ok, weres a real time automatic on keyboard on the short layout 2:23.95 - - - Updated - - - also for my time being ~10 seconds off pace from the other drivers. i blame the car, i HATE driving the sunburst, top heavy, inconsistant, ugh! (nah i suck at driving thats actually why)
My first timed run was 2:17 and you're 2:23. You're 6 seconds away on a keyboard! I'm impressed with that alone. Pick yourself up a controller or steering wheel and I think you'll easily get higher with some practice
I'm not liking your times crazycow099. I can't get anywhere near your times. And i'm using a wheel! I keep having issues with the bumps and such. Going to much straight into corners (understeer..) Can you perhaps either do a steam broadcast or a video of a run? Would be nice to see to learn. You seem to know what your doing. But i will surely practice. It should be possible for me to at least come close to match your time. The big jump in the middle, are you going speedy over it or slow? I feel that it's breaking the car every time i try to catch some time there. Well, practice makes perfect I guess. Damn these rally tracks. Spending too much time on them
I retry alot. I wouldn't be surprised if I have over 200 attempts at the track. I do go over the bumps slowly around 30-40 mph and I do alot of retries at certain corners to find the best line and even on bumpy straights I move to the side where there is less of an incline. As for streaming or making a video my PC is perfectly capable of it but my internet is too bad and either my stream lags and is unwatchable or it takes a day or two to upload a video. I'm really sorry, I would like to upload videos at the least but I find it too time consuming for me to enjoy it. Also, I don't have many successful runs. In total I have probably completed the track 10 times but again I have probably 200 attempts. It really is just practice.
i have the same issue really, i loose so much time into turn one, and the a billion lines i want to take through the 5th checkpoint that i cant because of the checkpoint. that and when you push the sunburst hard it gets soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo twitchy
I just retry accelerating at different times in the corner till I find the right point. I can't really explain where it is but what I can say is that its a good idea to release throttle as you go in to the corner at the right speed (brake before the corner) and then slowly accelerate out of it (thatguyyouknow just tap the accelerate key). That's what I do for the first corner and well most of them that are in that style. As for the fifth checkpoint try to keep all four wheel on the dirt road instead of cutting it ever so slightly. I do the same thing sometimes
i drive differently than you, i go into the first corner on the outside and rip the handbrake and boot it. because its awd the call pulls itself right into the checkpoint if you do it right. also i am going to try this in freeroam with other cars, see if i can improve my time with a car i can drive better
well as to how much it counts im not shure but with the mitibushi evo mod by mythbuster i got a 2:13.75 on the short layout still on keyboard and auto
I'll give it a go with that car now EDIT: I couldn't get the car to work with the scenario properly but I just ran through anyway and I looked to get 2:07 or there abouts so its a definite improvement over the sunburst
Hmm it would be nice to have another car to choose from. I might consider adding the evo or the vw polo by jalkku but in the meantime you would have to add it yourself.
