Haha, thanks but don't be so harsh n yourself ^^ Everything is possible with some chill music :)

This is the "out of factory" look. I may do some small scratches on parts like the exhaust system or suspension etc. if it looks too bland ingame. If you have some suggestions feel free to write them down.
Now I have to learn how to use the specular map to bring the different materials(like chorme, metal etc.) to life.

Just for fun the old engine texture :D

    Good decsion to redo this..ey?
    Edit:
Whoops. The real word is "caution" haha thanks for pointing this out.

Marvelous work, You've really come a long way. Re doing the textures was most defiantly a good move, it looks properly professional now.

As far as chrome work, you should use a relatively bright specular colour (silver or white), as bright shades stand out (i.e shiny) while darker shades are dull (i.e matte). You probably don't want too much "noise" of it's for body panels, but for things like carpet and dash material, noise works well for simulating the minute roughness in the surface. It looks really nice when done right.

Nope, not dead at all. I just don't have the patience to learn jbeaming after comming home from school...You guys have to wait three or so months until I finally graduate and have some free time to spend on this car. Modelling is pretty much recreational but the whole programming aspect is just not my thing and it's quite stressfull if I can't invest a decent amount of time into it. Beelive me I tried it. I am currently learning a bit while doing some mods for already released cars though. So..I would say stay tuned! Belive me, I miss the Mustang too :(

nice work so far but the front end seems off a little, Front lower part isn't round enough and the front might be a hair short or the lack of curve in the hood just seem to make the illusion of that. I have just the right model parts from an Altaya 1/8 Shelby GT500 to show what I mean. I know it's a work in progress but extra info on the small details is always gonna help improve the looks of the model, right? :) . Gonna make some pics in a later post with better lighting.

I know, there are a lot of parts that are off...This was my first model of a car and I didn't have much experience with how to approach this task...I now regret choosing one of my favourite cars for my first model...but I guess I just have to live with it. I will try and redo most of the wrong body panels like the front bumper, the rear corner pieces and also some of the interior stuff after I finish the Honda Del Sol I am currently working at. You can post the pictures you were talking about...It may help in the future :)

But now it would be cool if this won't be bumped back on top again. I will bump it when I am ready to and with some upgrades :)

So are you planning on coming back to this after you finish the Honda ?

Sorry if some of you might consider it a bump, but i just hope it's not forgotten

As soon as I have some time, I will. I'll take a break from modding until I am through with some real life stuff though, so it will take a while.

    BUT:

If someone else is planning to do this car/already has modeled this car and wants to put it in game...please do not hesitate to do so! I don't want to brand such an iconic vehicle as "my project" for this long. When I pick this back up I'll have to do a lot of remodeling since it's not acurate at all(first model of a car ec. etc.) So I'll actually feel relieved if someone more experienced will show up with a better looking model one day :)

Since you've finished with the del sol, are you going to resume work on this? :D? I'm really excited, we NEED more horsepower in this game.

I did, and I thought since he finished working on the del sol, he could switch his active work to something else. No need to be rude :)

Well above that too he asked basicly the same question, so I was wondering why you posted something that asked the same idea, I wasn't trying to be rude :)
