it has torque steer. wich means when u drive straight, the torque and or speed causes the wheels to turn... Like a vauxhaul Astra

It's probably possible to edit the JBeam file to make this happen

[No it's not torque steer, It isn't implemented in the game as far as I know]

No clue, I have not even touched the JBeam, I am just saying it is most likely possible.

My solution is to pulse the throttle until i get fast enough and then hold it down always keeping a light touch on the L/R arrow keys

I'll admit it's probably harder to drive than it should be, but it's not that difficult. Feather the throttle, be gentle with your inputs, and it's a beast you can tame.

The tire model does need improvement but it's not that far off.

As for the suspension deflection, there's a limit to how rigid things can be while still simulated in real-time. It's a fundamental limitation of soft-body physics and there's not much we can do about it.

Keyboard user incoming, it was a bit of a learning curve but pulling off driving this thing is doable. Actually my favorite car because of how easy it is to get the back end out!

I have made some adjustments to the jbeams. Lowered high end HP and torque also raised the friction slightly on the front and back. I think it drives lovely.

MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP YOUR ORIGINAL SUPER FOLDER!!

Then just replace it with this one. Let me know what you think! :)

Thanks to Gabester for letting us know that the jbeams are modifiyable.

I have edited out your link as you're basically distributing paid content for free. You can attach the individually modified jbeams but please don't post the whole car :)

Very sorry bout that didn't think about it that way. Basiclly all I did was raise the Friction on the front and rear tyres. Also I adjusted the torque but I'm not sure if that bit worked. It drives amazing now nun the less.

I appreciate everyone's input. I've gone and reduced power by 10% and increased tire grip by about 7%. It is a bit more drivable now but still does 0-60 mph in 4.99 seconds :)

These updates will be in the first patch.

I think for this car the suspension is the main reason it does not accelerate straight and you cannot drift it either.
The solid rear axle on the van and the pickup seem to be far more rigid and you can see there the tire model is not too bad.
With the pickup and the van you are also able to do some controlled slides.
I think the realism will get a boost from a more rigid suspension... But it is also nice to smash the suspension to bits on rocks :D
