Fixing someones PC... Glue used instead of thermal paste, so when she pulled the heatsink off the CPU lid ripped off with it.. CPU does not work anymore either, ah well, it was only a Phenom II.
Phenom 2's are rather decent CPU's, atleast they have FPU/cache for each core, not like the FX thing.
My mother's laptop is having WiFi issues. It selectively connects to the WiFi network and is not printing to the printer that is on the network. I have determined that it is not the on-board WiFi card by attempting to connect with a USB WiFi stick, and had the same problem. The laptop is not "seeing" the WiFi network. Any recommendations on how to fix this? (none that involve burning or fisting anything) EDIT: Could it be a problem with or caused by Kaspersky Anti-Virus? EDIT: Problems determined to be caused by Kaspersky. Solution: Turn off Kaspersky protection and exit program. Any idea what to change settings-wise in Kaspersky to stop it blocking network connections?
I used to have a Phenom II and it would do alright actually. If it wasn't for me deciding I wanted moar powa then I would've kept that CPU to this day. It's going to my dear father who is still running a Athlon 2600+, bless him.

What's your budget? You'll need at least $400-450 for a decent gaming build and that's without a monitor or keyboard/mouse.
You could probably get a half decent starting system for $250-300 but that's without a monitor/keyboard/mouse. You have to give us more information.
$400-$500 would be good... there is one that is $460 that is actually a gaming computer that comes with a keyboard and a mouse, but it seems too good to be true... also, is a quad-core processor with DDR3 and 8 gigs of RAM enough? (btw the computer is called iBUYPOWER Black Gamer Power WA55OB)
Don't buy a prebuilt, build your own PC. You'll get much better parts for the same price. I can't know what CPU model that PC uses, but for the price, it's most likely an AMD APU. Decent CPU, but graphics are nowhere near powerful enough for gaming. That's an FX 4300 with a GT 730. Not worth $460 at all. Don't buy a prebuilt. (The FX 4300 is a very low end quad core and the GT 730 is just an awful GPU.)
What would happen if I threw my Radeon HD 6450 in my PC together with my 750? Would it all go up in a fire or would it actually work in a weird way?
It will "work." The GPUs will work separately. Good for adding more monitors or using one for, say, rendering.
I will work just as any other system with multiple GPUs, you will be asked to select one for use assuming you're using windows. It will work in a manner similar to a motherboard with onboard VGA and a 750. - - - Updated - - - I did not know it worked that easy, I will try to be quieter now.
