This is true of even modern pickups. They're still built on a steel ladder frame with the bodywork bolted onto it. The body could be completely trashed but as long as the frame and motor are there it'll run.

 

What exactly would I need to pont to pickup_c_alt.dds is the materials file.

 

I really believe that the D15 deserves a special update. Maybe a more up-to-date front grille and an updated interior like the Roamer has, also some bucket seats. If Gabester can find the time and place in his heart for a D15 update, everyone will be happy.

 

This is a useless post but ford did make a truck called a D series but its not a pickup its a cabover

 

theres a facelifted version mod in the mods and skins sub forum. grey version of the roamer interior with cloth seats, road front, different wheels

i done goofed HARD and messed up my d-15 file with some crap mods, forgot to back it up (aren't i smart) is there any way i could redownload the original d15 file?

Delete your pickup.zip in program files/steam/steamapps/common/beamng.drive/content/vehicles, then verify integrity of game cache in Steam. Don't forget, Google is your friend

This pickup truck looks awfully like a Ford Ranger, so why not just call it that? Just like the Vanster looks like an E-100 van.

 

The fact that something looks similar to something else doesn't mean it should be called so.

 

I'm saying it would be nice to be called a Ford Ranger.

 

I always thought it was a dead ringer for an early 90s Dodge Dakota from the back.

 

But it also barely looks like one, not to mention copy rights and all the obvious stuff you should know :|

I think an update to the D15 jbeam would be nice. It's pretty obvious it's a first generation BeamNG offering
and being the stock default vehicle we see every day would certainly benefit from a more detailed front end
modeling and jbeam upgrade.

It is one of the cleanest and best taken care of jbeams in the game, i don't see a single reason for it to be altered one bit, nor is the mesh anyhow wrong.
