There doesn't seem to be a thread for feedback about the new update. Not that I could see anyway. So I made one. Feel free to post your feedback here if the devs don't make an official thread.

    So anyway, my feedback:

Obviously the update is great, I can't say I have many gripes with it, a lot of my feedback is going to end up being about what I think is needed next.
The menu UI is still kinda messy and isn't particularly user friendly, but this really isn't an issue, considering how much it changes. The lack of a dedicated main menu screen makes me uncomfortable though. Is there no way we can get back to the main menu once in game? Even if the menu has all the same options, I would still want one.

The scenario mode is coming along really well, I love it. A system of progression would be great IMO. The driver training levels remind me a lot of GT, and I think some of the other systems would work well.
For example, only some scenarios could be unlocked at first, and you'd have to get a bronze medal on a previous similar race to progress. I'll try and give a detailed explanation:

So a grading system as a basis, like a bronze, silver, and gold medal system. Only bronze is required to unlock the next event, silver and gold are to unlock some extra goodies, more money, or just for personal challenge.
We wouldn't want to start with a single event, so we'd have a single event of each type let's say. The game already has Rally Small Island, stages 1,2, and 3, as well as road race one and two, and many others.

So I'll call these 'event chains'. You start with the first event in the chain, and have to get a bronze medal to unlock the next. Simple. You could end up with some chains being a lot longer, like 5+ rally stages, each getting considerably harder.
Perhaps finishing an event chain could unlock a special or silly event, like 'Get Down', 'Big Air Vanster', and 'Port Container Race'.
This is a very basic idea, and it really wouldn't surprise me if something similar is already planned.

As the events themselves go, I'm in love with events like 'Island Cross' and 'Get Down'. Having an objective to reach but no set route is a huge amount of fun. It allows you to try to find the quickest route yourself, and adds a huge amount of replay value.

I think to make the scenarios feel like actual events, some changes should be made:

    1. Not being able to change vehicle. This would be important if there was a progression system, as you'd just pick a better car and cheat.
    2. Event ending after you finish. Returning you to a menu, or a screen with a record table of all your best times. Which brings me to:
    3. Saving times. Doesn't seem that hard, just chuck the event times into a .txt document, and have them displayed in game.

That's my two cents then, feel free to contribute.

Nice! Well I was of course assuming that the campaigns would work in a similar fashion, but I was assuming that they'd perhaps be using your own car rather than preset cars. I'm not expecting to see that next week hehe, I guess that's the long term goal of the campaign mode. Or would that be under a different mode like free roam campaign?

The new Updates are awesome. Beam.ng is starting to feel like a game with the new UI and the challenges.
A huge step is the FFB configuration, its far from perfect but after changing some of the sliders i kind of know what is happening while i'm cornering.
    Love it.

PS Havent found a FFB Settings thread in the forums so far. I want to know how other users have configurated their settings for their wheels.
PPS And another Update is flying in. <3 Much luv!

I love all these races and the campaign sounds really cool:) In the future will there be delivery type missions where you have to take something to a location in a certain amount of time? Or other things similar?

Developers, outstanding job on bringing your work into the realm of an actual game.

It seems like you're making the game engine ( Torque ) buckle sometimes though.. not due to sloppy coding but because your ideas seem bigger than the engine can handle at times.

Yes. it is starting to feel like a game, rather than a simulation tool. I quite like the challenge system. new UI is also a step in the right direction. Also no crashes or bugs found yet.

I don't like things being 'locked' as it means I can't use all the things in the game that i've paid for. it also means you can't skip an event if you want to eg drifting, (which i assume will make it into the game eventually) or drag racing.

I know this is certainly something not everyone agrees on. Well perhaps events like drifting and drag racing would be unlocked from the start then.
Things being locked makes sense really, what game doesn't implement this? In most games with a single player campaign, you can't just skip to the last level, you have to play through the game first.

You aren't missing out on any content that you've paid for, as the bar to unlock the next event is set low. Just like easy difficulty in shooter games. The bronze medal would be set at a laughably easy time, meaning everyone can progress. Even if you couldn't, it's not like the maps wouldn't be available in free roam.

Well, I somehow managed to get to the last level in Halo 3 without "completing" the level before it!

To be honest, I openly dislike the vehicle color selector in the new UI. The old one with clickable colors,a dn being able to chose a previously used colors was a lot nicer.
Also you could actually see how the color changes how you edit it etc.
The new one is usable, but much worse than the old one.
