Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I know ive posted about this before, but I would like to change the look of the in game tachometer. I know someone has done an analog gauge pack, but Thats not really the style im looking for. I would enjoy something that looked like this: (imported from here) The needle and gauge face look good in my opinion. Is there any easy way to do this, or can anyone help me out? i didnt know if i could use the programming from the other in game one (i have no experience) or something like that. Best regards, Jay
when you say changing and bring up programming Do you mean the HTML UI? [Or as you may know, the interactive HUD as an APP] Or do you simply mean the one in the dash of the car Other than the needle which would require a 3D model and UV mapping this would be much less complex and only require a texture to be made and mapped to a pre-existing RPM guage. However this looks like a mod RPM gauge that you would see on one of those gauges on racing vehicles that are a separated gauge bolted to the dashboard, but could be use inside as well without looking too out of place if you change some one the text to make it less racer looking. [from scratch based on the image, the image has too many elements that are covered up by the needle and would look less cheesy and cartoon-like if remade from the ground up]
I mean the one that is in the hud of the game, not the ones inside the vehicles. As far as the style goes, im more worried about the needle style than anything else. I know someone made an analog gauge pack. How can I edit the style of those? When i was looking through the thread ( V=http://www.beamng.com/threads/8752-Analog-Gauges-UI-App-PACK-0-3-7-7-update ) there were people who had edited the gauges. How is that done? And yeah, i was just using that one as an example haha it is a little ricer-ish, especially going all the way up to 10k rpm
