Been working on this rally map for a few days now. Accidentally posted a pic yesterday to community screens, was supposed to post it here... A 2-3min gravel stage on rainy conditions, located somewhere in northern europe. You can drive it pretty fast if you take the turns in correct manner. Here's a little video of me driving (with keyboard) through it. Also some pics. There's some vegetation pop-upping happening (1:20-> on the video), not sure why... Oh and polo got some new sounds
Oh wow, I love the reflections in the water puddles and the overall atmosphere. Also will the map have custom sound for the dirt too? It sounds differet...better...like a lot better. Especially with the new engine sound going along with it. Keep up the great work man! It's always a treat to see your name in this thread
Thank you! All the sounds are from the car, it has sounds for skidding and rolling on gravel. I'll try to implement the gravel sounds to be part of the map but I'm not quite sure if that is even possible.
Beautiful! Definitely has the perfect atmosphere and I am blown away by the road reflections, decal roads can do that?. In my opinion, all this needs is some elevation switchbacking and a lake/coast area and this will be another BeamNG gold standard! Great work.
Embarrassing?....god no, just more awesomeness! Your map looks killer dpitkin! Amazing times around here all the way around.
I nearly mistook that for a low settings shot of Dirt Rally. (not your fault, T3D is just a graphically bad engine). but the detail and the nice construction of those roads is awesome. Keep it up, can't wait to see it.
i broke the smoothing groups. i shouldve exported as a separate .dae, but old habits die hard, and i exported as the roamer .dae
Because he broke the smoothing groups while modifying the mesh. This can be avoided by using multi-dae as he referred to. There are also ways to fix the smoothing groups instead.
Why are these things so complicaaaatedddddd dadadadada (it's the awning for the RV btw... Stumbled upon the patents for them so decided to make them accurate. I'm planning to make it work, but no promises).
That looks sweet as well man! With all the rally maps we just need more rally cars This looks amazing dude! It will kick ass if you manage to make it work And to stay on topic: Edit...rear: Thanks Aboroath, that means a lot Edit nuber two: Please ignore the bright speculars on the suspension and the gold plated exhaust. Color tones are not final either
