Hey guys! I've always wanted to see a beautiful 3rd gen Corvette in the game, but I haven't seen one even started. I would love to do it myself, but lack any ability to model and code.

If anyone is interested, I own a 1975, which is nearly identical in build and measurement to every other year of C3 and would be willing to provide any reference pictures or measurements required!

Good day to all of you!

Quick comparison to all of the other years of C3 that you may want to implement:

(1974-1977 are practically identical. 1978-1979 has a bubbled window in the back and a different dash. 1980-1982 has a major style change to the front clip/bumper. 1968-1972 have chrome front and rear bumpers and are nearly identical aside from a different body style and big block engines rather than small blocks. 1973 has the rear bumper of the early years and the front of the later years)

    Hello,
First off, there is a thread found HERE for vehicle suggestions. Secondly, Unless you pay someone(a lot of money), they are most likely not going to make a car for you. Reason being is making a car takes a lot of time and effort. Now you could make your own car though. here is some programs/tutorials for you. Also, start with a simple cube then progress into bigger things
here is some info i through together

to make a car you need to know how to 1)model in a 3d program and 2)Know how to make a jbeam. Making a jbeam is in the wiki. As for how to make a model for the car, look up how to make a car in blender.

    a basic blender tutorial
creating a cube to start learning

If you actually own that car, I would love to give it a go.

You can see my portfolio in my signature and check out my Prelude for any references.

I don't have a LOT of time, so if you can wait, I'm up for it. Send me a PM if you're interested.

Make it happen, a C3 would be glorious. Am willing to do/help you with the Jbeam if you're going to do the model :) Should be fun to make a fiberglass-bodied car that actually behaves like fiberglass, and happen to know where the steel supports in the body are in real life, so that should be fun :p

Awesome, so we have a team then! I've modeled a C3 about 8 years ago:

Though I believe he's talking about the early C3? or maybe we can make one with interchangeable parts to fit all models.

That looks sick, I'm so in for this! And we should do the parts for different versions. I love the American Racing Vectors/General Lee wheels. Do I have you on Skype already? I thought so but I can't really find you. Would make it a lot easier to do the project. I'll just PM you :)

First time I've seen a request followed up on.

CBrider's modelling and Mythbuster's physics setup should be nothing short of great.

If this ends up coming to life I'm going to be thrilled, 68-72 Vettes are my absolute favorite car, but I love C3's altogether.
cbrider: That model of yours is stunning!

I love C3 corvettes and the 80's c3's would be the icing on the cake. Spent many hours researching these and just about the same working on an 81(not mine though) so good luck and I really hope your project gets going.

WOW! How you've managed to capture even the smallest details is amazing, that's a fantastic looking car. Love that side mirror btw ;)

That model is absolutely insane. I hope we don't have to down-rez too much of it for BeamNG, even if it means completely maxing out some computers. There's just something I like when I can count the stitches in a videogame car interior.

I've always loved the C3 and C4 Corvette, even though it seems like most Americans find they're dreadful and ugly cars. I think they're beautiful, 80s-coolness.

This one is still cool though :)
