I installed this and for some reason it does not show up in the vehicle selector. I am using the 3.8 version and am using 3.8 of BeamNG.Drive. I also am pretty sure I installed it right (put zip file in the mods folder that is within the BeamNG folder in documents).

This seems to be an issue for many people. Extract the "st10" folder from the zip to Documents\BeamNG.drive\Mods\vehicles and see if that works for you.

Well, neither putting it in the vehicles folder of the BeamNG.Drive directory in my steamapp folder or creating a vehicles folder under the Mods folder and putting it in there worked.

In documents/beamng.drive there should already be a vehicles folder, I just placed mine there. See if that works.

Hands down most fun plane to fly today! Really amazing work. I love all the added features like the working gauges,
Retractable gear, Interior lighting, and stall warning. The flight characteristics feel as they should and the crash modeling is beautiful.

    Really stellar job m8!
I'v already been up flying it all night and have to work tomorrow morning

    (imported from here)...

    But at least its Friday!

Thanks again for creating this for us all Dummiesman!

What a great comment to wake up to! :) Thanks!

For those who can't get it working : I've reuploaded the ZIP with a different archiver , it should work now.

That did work, but I re downloaded the zip. After putting it there the first time didn't work I checked the st10 file and saw that it had only folders and no actual files in it.

The Socata plane can fly underwater but very slowly. I tried it.

If you have the original version then you need to get the 0.3.8.x version fron the front page.

Say, Dummiesman, are you going to do a version that uses the roll/pitch/yaw controls?

This is an awesome mod, but I'm having some issues with it.

Whenever I put in the landing gear, the 'hood' of the plane basically implodes. It crunches up within a few seconds along with the top of the cockpit. And then I lose control of my rudders.
Also, the plane in general seems to be somewhat unresponsive. It takes a very long time to make a turn and often simply ignores my keyboard input. I'd like to see a version that's usable on the controller.

Not trying to criticize this, but I just felt like I should point some things out. I'd like to see if others are having the same issues, although I've read through the post and I don't see any mention of it...

Ya but I think that's just the way it handles, but I have never had the gear issue

It's fairly responsive under normal flying conditions, and in real life planes are fairly slow handling as well. Many games act as if there is no rolling resistance etc on aircraft :(

I know about the gear issue but for me it's only ever slightly dented the underside cowling. (don't get me wrong I really dislike that >_>) If some jbeamer here would like to figure out how to make the front gear steer without needing chassis connections like that, I would love that. It would fix the issue completely :)

Also constructive criticism is always good ;)
