That's not starting fresh, that's just... starting. Or, phrased better: if BeamNG launched multiplayer, say, next month, they'd be using their own moderation team, not the one used on an unofficial private branch currently best known for a serious security hazard. I don't know if they would hire a dedicated team for multiplayer moderation, or if that would even be necessary (this doesn't really seem like a public lobby kinda game to me), but I can't imagine they would just up and funnel the staff and/or volunteers from a related-yet-distinct project into their own. There's just something about the Moonhawk, man. It makes people like us wanna do all kinds of crazy shit:
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!? Lmao I love it Im glad im not the only one. It's also one of the best cars to lift and put large offroad tires on thats what I used for the jumping over a flying helicopter video. Wasn't thinking about it much before but now I do hope it gets some more love soon. I know its been updated before but its a worthy car to take to the next level.

0.41 is targeting a Dezember release already: Don't know if we ever had a two month update cycle before.
Visibly they want to go back to the normal update schedule as quickly as possible. Which make sense but I hope they don't crunch too much.
Now that you say that, you just reminded me of Interstate 76 which the moonhawk would fit pefectly considering its a 1970's car and I can definately see a few weapon options added to the roof and a custom soundtrack of(royalty free) 70's music playing playing from the radio.
Oh, for a while, that was normal. From 0.3.1 (22 June 2014) to 0.8 (21 Dec 2016), we had content- and/or feature-adding updates every month or two. The longest wait periods in that era were 0.3.4 - 0.3.6 (70 days), 0.4 - 0.4.1 (65 days), 0.6.1 - 0.7 (68 days), and 0.7 - 0.8 (77 days). We also got 15 vehicles in that time frame, 12 between 0.3.8.1 and 0.8 (April 2015 to Dec 2016). The issue was that many of those vehicles were...lacking in content. The I-Series, Moonhawk, and '88 Pessima were some of the most customizable cars of that era, many vehicles only had two engines at most (some, like the BX, only had one) and only one of the passenger cars (the Burnside) had an alternate body style. Only the I-Series and Moonhawk had facelifts, as well, and those were very basic compared to the ones we have today. (The ETKs were also the sole users of different gauges for metric and imperial.) As for 0.41 itself, it'll probably be a lighter update than 0.40. It'll likely have more Percheron content, and maybe a remaster or refresh, as well? Hopefully. Holy shit, ball knowledge. I love Interstate '76 and its soundtrack. And the December update period is the most important in terms of sales. Pretty much every year for the past 11 years, the December update's been the most-played or the second most-played (The exception to this is 0.24/0.24.1, which somehow was the least-played update of the year, behind 0.22 and 0.23.) With a new audience to sell to, it makes sense that the devs would want to release 0.41 in that holiday period. I don't remember what happened on that day. Also, do you mean 10 December or 12 October? I remember there was a Moonhawk ute mod on a D-Series frame many years ago - I can't find it, unfortunately, but I remember using it for my story Green Ghost of Selva Rocosa. (Along with 99!'s old Miramar Z Coupe mod, which was such a banger. Shame we still don't have anything like the race version of that coupe in the official version.)
I never played Interstate but I played Vigilante 8 sooooo much as a kid and recently again since the decomp on pc. I started making Vigilante 8 skins but I felt like nobody would know what it is now lol. And the only update on the 12th i remember is the July 12th update.
