Update Speculation thread

If a multiplayer does come out, I genuinely hope the beam devs start with a fresh set of moderators if they decide to go that route, I've already seen a case of "I just walked in and I'm banning everyone who took part in trolling regardless of whos fault it is" with one beamMP "moderator"

I know that I can just take the user folder and copy it but it’s a hassle to always do that with flash drives and all that

 

Beam just seems like a weird game to moderate ngl. On one hand, yeah some people will be there for serious simulation, but on the other hand, a lot of people (hell probably the majority) will be here for the zany chaos the game can brings.So unless it will work with private servers or separate lobbies with different rules, idk how anything will be enforced tbh.

 

I didn't even think about trolls online in this game. I'm used to the beam community already being more cool and mature than any other community. I hope there's options between sim players and car crash game players or different lobbies at least like a tag saying sim-lobby, or non-sim.

I would say “haul it into port with BeamNG.drive v0.40”, but v0.33’s patch notes were “Haul the harvest in BeamNG.drive v0.33”, which I think is a bit too similar. They may want to do something else.

I’m still sticking with my “A European Adventure in BeamNG.drive v0.40” idea, it’s somewhat professional sounding, although I’d like to see something related to a port get used as well. It would make sense

What about 'Park it in the Port'?

 

The moonhawk is in dire need of a remaster, its potential is sky high and the oldest vehicle without a remaster. The Barstow isn’t in too bad of shape, I’d say just a refresh for a few of the textures. The bluebuck isn’t too old and probably just needs an expansion like the grand marshal. As for the hopper, I wish they def did a refresh or a remaster for it with a 4 door variant or hell even a pickup (although we do have the brutto pack). The first gen pessima and sbr4 would also benefit from a refresh aswell.

I meant they should split these remasters/refreshes between updates lol I think they could knock the moonhawk in an update and the rest maybe 1 or 2 vehicles in another one.

 

Thats crazy you brought up the moonhawk, I'm currently making a mod for it that adds a minigun to the the hood like twisted metal style. And I just thought of another stupid subtitle:
