Yes, sometimes. You can suggest what you want, as long as it's not out of context of the thread, namely updates speculations.
Well i would suggest that every vehicle pre 0.38 gets a small update to be on the same quality level as the ardente and Percheron
The devs split their time between adding new content, and reworking/remastering old content. You wouldn't have the Ardente or Percheron if you expected them to bring older vehicles to their current quality standards. And I agree with @CrashHavenBNG , I don't recall them explicitly saying the two versions will release the exact same day. The 19th is a Monday, so I could see the devs dropping .40 at the beginning of next week to split their workload a bit. I imagine that PS5 release day is going to be hectic for them.
A CC on a 0.40 video said in the comments that both versions are dropping on the 19th. That's where I'm personally coming from O~o I'll go back and quote if it's really that nuanced
They said “PC will release around the same time as ps5” that could mean earlier or later. And means its almost garenteed PC won’t release on I would trust the devs more. We will find out soon
uh huh I would love if the other vehicles got some of Percheron's interactibles, such as toggling dome light mode and having more interactive parts such as Percheron's sunroof with the shade (I am patiently waiting for window rolling update). If we're however talking about visual quality that would definitely not be just a "small update" lol.
On the topic of split screen (which I must confess is my favorite known feature of 0.40), do we know if in the end in PC there's going to be a limit of players? MuYe said that "apparently, there's no limit", for instance; but Talks said that it was four. Then again, the devs are probably changing things on-the-fly, so I don't really know. I say this because it could also bring an interesting proposal to the table: multi-monitor gameplay for multiplayer (player-per-screen). Obviously you can't really fit more than 4 players in one screen (not comfortably, at least), so if there really is no limit I suppose that it'd probably be implemented. Which would be a first in a racing game, I think? (Also, could be even better: if player-per-screen is a thing, perhaps we could potentially plug a VR headset as a second screen, and have someone as a passenger in VR?). I mean, it's a lot of speculation at this point. But it'd be cool.
i wonder talks said it was 4 because it was written on the screen, while it you could see 6 slots. In terms of screen space it all depends on the screen resolution, I've calculated that on 1080p screen 6 players would have 320x180 resolution for each one, the bigger the resolution the more player could fit
for 6 players at 1080p, each one would have 640x540 if it was a 3x2 player grid. Its not much about the resolution as it is about the physical size of the monitor, for example muye in his video showed a screen with 9 players: but with that many players, you would rather have to worry about how you fit them in front of the screen, and at that point, even with a TV setup it would be difficult to fit 9 players on one couch lol, but its a fun idea nonetheless
That's kind of why I was hoping for there to be a screen-per-player system (maybe through different windows, or the game itself displaying everything in all monitors). With the example given, wouldn't 9 players already be insane on the same monitor?
Yes and no, you can use Steam Remote Play, that solves the problem of not having a couch big enough for everyone as each player would use their own PC monitor. Tbh, the fact that I'm gonna be able to play Beamng with people who are from literally the other side of the country (without the need of BeamMP) is what makes me so excited for this update. Edit: Of course, this only works for the PC version. I'm not sure if PS5 has a feature that's similar to Steam Remote Play
Also yeah itwouldn't be that smallbut it would be easier then adding a new vehicle. also i found this on reddit What i would want 0.41 to be : r/BeamNG
PS5 does have it, because they have Wii u gamepad PS Portal, also i'm not sure but there should be websites that give you a remote access to other PC's and those might work with every device with web browser
I hope that 0.41 has some remastered/refreshed vehicles, as we haven't gotten any of those since 0.36 (over a year ago). And, there's still some vehicles that aren't anywhere close to current standards, like the Moonhawk, Bluebuck, or Hopper.
The Moonhawk needs a remaster, lol. It’s been 13 years since they haven’t included a major update to it. Sure, they have mostly received PBR updates, but I think a remaster for the car will give it more config variety overall! The Bluebuck needs an expansion or refresh at the very least. It would be nice if it had wagon variants and the Bluebuck’s interior needs an update due to how bland it looks. The Hopper could use a remaster or a refresh, with more configs such as facelifts and an updated interior as well.
