AI Bossman V1 Pro is an original 1,120 kg gold sports coupe with a 2.2L inline-four, five-speed manual, FWD, MacPherson front and multi-link rear suspension. It began as a basic Copilot concept and was rebuilt and refined with Codex, including the complete body, boxed unibody, suspension, drivetrain, detachable panels, breakable mounts and staged crash structures. Vanilla BeamNG vehicles were used only as technical references. The entire mod was created by AI—no human hands were involved in modelling, JBeam, coding or technical development; human input was limited to prompts, direction and testing. Total tokens used so far: 199.66 million. The costs are significant, lol.
impress and scary at the same time in 10 months we dont see ai hud slop we see ai car slop wich is very bad
This is not only impressive but very dystopian Here's what I thought of the mod and it was bad. Lets see No glowmaps, jiggly car, no interior, bad frameworks, only an engine with no engine bay, jbeam too simple that It spikes badly in a crash And don't forget it took a lot of water in the process. Just stick to mods made by humans, not AI Rating -10/10 And that's another bad mod I counted. 2
Divine timing, just as the entire AI slop topic is emerging. However i must say experimenting with AI over lazily using AI anyday
Honestly, this is pretty cool to see. AI-generated BeamNG vehicles have come a long way, but the comments also show how much fine-tuning still goes into making a mod feel complete. Stuff like crash behavior, JBeam structure, glowmaps, and interiors can be easy to overlook even when the vehicle itself works. I’ve been messing around with AI-assisted BeamNG modding too, so it’s interesting seeing how far people are pushing it. I’m definitely curious to see how this project develops with more updates and testing.
That's a lot of yap for someone with exactly 0 credentials. Nah, the point is to see how far AI can get with making a BeamNG car. I give it direction and test the results. It’s got flaws, but figuring out what works and improving it is the whole idea. And my wallet. Yeah, I think it’s a good testbed to build on. AI can be very capable in the right hands, especially for specific tasks, even if building a whole car from scratch like Bossman it still shows its limits. I’ve been using AI in modding for a while, but usually as a tool rather than letting it take the creative or technical lead. With Bossman, AI has almost all of that responsibility. The main point of this is to learn and see how far we can take it. Seeing how complex BeamNG modding has become over the years, I think there's nothing wrong with using AI as a tool to relief some of the workload from the artists.
Yeah, I agree with that. I think AI works best when it takes some of the tedious workload off the creator rather than replacing the creator entirely. Especially with something as complex as BeamNG, there’s still a lot of judgment involved in knowing what needs to be fixed or changed. I also think Bossman is interesting specifically because it pushes AI further into the actual development process. Even if it has limitations, using it as a testbed to see where those limits are seems pretty valuable. I’m definitely interested to see what you learn from it as you keep developing it.
Thats very interesting and impressive as an experience but ngl I dont really want to see this kind of mods I hope it will stay a fun experience
It sure does, but wait a few years and see what A.I. can do then. The speed of its advancement is scary. And I really hope it never replaces human modders, although that's probably unlikely for now.
