On the Bolide and one other vehicle (Covet sedan) the paint that is selected in not reflected on the vehicle. What you see in the screenshots should be white (for the Bolide), but there is a grey layer over every color that makes them all darker. If I select a custom paint job and then select white then white actually appears. I'm assume this is due to a mod because it does not happen in safe mode. Has anyone encountered this issue? Note: I disabled all mods flagged by the vehicle conflict detector and cleared my cache, it did not solve this issue.
The built-in mod detection sorta sucks, never works. You'll have to manually disable any mod that might do it, then restart the game.
Yup, that was something I was trying to avoid (~500 or so mods) and this issue only appeared fairly recently so I was hoping someone else also experienced it.
500 is rookie numbers, hahaha. Did some experimentation today, the following were responsible for the Bolide paint issue: https://www.beamng.com/resources/group-5-miramar.29075/ https://www.beamng.com/resources/group-5-moonhawk.26682/ https://www.beamng.com/resources/rally-italia-1986.29149/ Next is to figure out the Covet paint issue.
I have the same issue with the BX. If you have that too and figure out what is causing that, please let me know! Had this issue since the 0.39 update.
After some testing i found that for me it was the mod "Shados's 200BX Pack" that made the default paint darker. Simply deactivating it and reloading the map fixed it.
Can confirm. Shados' 200bx pack does mess up the bx's default paint for some reason. haven't figured it out for the covet either.
