Hey Agent do you plan on updating the vanilla cars (aka Stock Traffic Groups addon)? The lighting in 0.39 looks pretty fine, but the window textures look weird when my cars headlights shine on them it turns them really blue for some reason? This is how it looks like
It just makes the official already included in the game traffic cars usable with the mod tool, it doesn't add the cars themself and therefore the maintenance for them is not part of the mod. The actual issue there is an engine limitation that should hopefully be fixed officially in the next update (fingers crossed) It does need updating to add the ardente to its groups though I just haven't got round to it yet
The vanilla traffic is simplified just like Agents mod, pretty sure most people don’t understand that Agents mod is just a tiny bit more optimized then vanilla traffic.
Trust me, is isn't just a "tiny bit". I can spawn 20 cars with 10 parked cars and run 50 fps on west coast USA with this, meanwhile with vanilla traffic, I can only go for 10-12 without parked cars.
Sounds like a bad GPU, these are barely more optimized for CPU. But they are way lower poly, so they are way better for your GPU.
It ain't the best, but it's a 3060. And just like me, there are plenty of others who can benefit from this pack, so then again, it isn't just a "tiny bit" more optimized
If you have a really good or really bad GPU theres not much difference. When I turn my settings down to lowest, theres no difference for me.
I would love to see a base model Volkswagen Lupo added to the game! It's a cool, tiny everyday car that would be perfect for crashes, basic tuning, and tight city driving. What do you guys think?
The author has explicitly stated for there to not be any requests, period. people actually read the text on mod pages: challenge impossible
could you add breaking light textures or at least make them turn off based on the impact? really annoying at night when u slam into a car and the lights are still there
Making the lights turn off is practically impossible with how everything is set up, glass break textures are also not really compatible with how everything in the mod is set up except for slapping the generic glass break onto them like the windscreens etc uses. From what I remember that looked really bad in most cases so didn't end up doing it in the end, and the alternative is baking everything which takes incredible amounts of time and resources that the mod at its core is explicitly avoiding using for optimisation purposes.
could you make the assets a bit more realistic? almost every car has the same engine power and weight, and of course some of them behave like heavier cars
Do you realise that this mod is trying to do the opposide? Its trying to be lightweight for everyone to play smoth. If you want to and have enough computing power then spawn traffic and just change all the cars with youre "realistic" mods or vanilla vehicles one by one, if thats any better. They look good enough from the outside and thats al they need to do.
They're not supposed to be high quality whatsoever. The mod is designed to be an "ambient traffic" mod to make the game feel more alive, allowing you spawn multiple vehicles without it having a significant impact on your performance. Yes you can drive them individually but that doesn't mean they have to be higher quality, handle a certain way or have powerful engines. The mod isn't designed for the player to drive them. Like with Burnout or Need For Speed, the traffic around you is designed to be lower quality to have less of an impact on your game.
