It does look quite similar to the existing Wentward logo, at least from the little bit I can see in the center of the grille. --- Post updated --- I mean, Volvo is a Swedish company that also makes US-market semi trucks, so it's not that far-fetched.
fluffy panda usually gives a heads up for the teaser in the beamng discord right before a teaser drops, so i just wait for the teaser to be posted then post it here immediately
I think it's similar to that art that was released of the Ardente before its release Edit: It took me a bit to find this art, but I think it's similar to this
Found a comment on reddit that the truck might be called the Percheron after a breed of draft horse. https://www.reddit.com/r/BeamNG/s/nZybYfzrYB
Yeah I think its a Cherrier. The logos are too similar for it not to be and that theorised name on Reddit make way too much sense.
these two theories could be interconnected. “Koheron” apparently means “cohesion” in Esperanto, and a web search tells me the at there are amounts of Esperanto speakers in Europe, and more specifically in Germany (don’t quote me on that, Google is unreliable). Maybe an ETK, or a new brand owned by ETK? I’m also a fan of the Percheron theory, that could also point us in the direction of a German brand. I highly doubt it’s a Cherrier. We just got the Ardente, I’d say Cherrier is on a “cooldown” of sorts. Wentward is a possiblity, but I’d call having the games EUROPEAN truck be made by an American brand a little bit far fetched imo
Pretty sure the Wentward logo has the arrow on the right, this truck doesn't. Also, an American brand creating a Euro cabover would be both unrealistic (the Ford F-Max is an exception) and a wasted opportunity for a truly European truck.
I doubt that - FPU's far too small of a company to be building semi trucks. In the 0.27 devblog, FPU is described as: That sounds far more like a bunch of people in a shed, not a fully-fledged production facility. A Wentward rebadge (or some other US-market rebadge) could happen - we've had the Peterbilt Midranger (a VW LT variant built in Brazil) and the Peterbilt Model 220 (a DAF XB/LF cab on top of a Peterbilt 320 chassis). And the Volvo VN-series used the same platform as the FH/FM until 2024. However, I doubt that this is a Wentward badge. It could be a German brand, but I think the devs would want to have this new Euro truck come from a new nation (or at least, I hope - we haven't had a new European mass-market manufacturer or a new major nation in six years).
No, it's not just you. I can definitely see stuff that appears to be belts and pulleys. I don't see stuff like the pistons, though. Then again, I'm way out of my element, I know basically nothing about European semis.
