the mod edits preexisting data to make the particle trails look better if you want EA to all early updates (that might not work and thats why they are in EA) or to just see what I am doing, join https://discord.gg/cdufbMvf8H ( not the owner, just like what they do )
This mod changes how BeamNG looks a LOT! This mod adds better smoke, fire, sparks, and dust which help immerse the player into their environment and enhances the changes made to the environment by the player vehicle. The more defined exhaust for diesel engines and tire smoke is such a treat because it makes it look more real and I don't think many people realize how lacking BeamNG is of these little things and it helps make the game look a whole lot better. I would really recommend this mod and the creator whom I know personally put a lot of effort so please consider checking this mod out, you'll not want to go back without it
Anybody curious how this mod looks in game you can checkout my video, I offered to make the video for Zekwanna to help get it out there. Pair this mod with a couple other realism mods and the game looks SOOOO much different. It's beyond words for me how good it looks.
Looks awesome! The smoke and dust effects make the game feel much more immersive. Definitely giving this a try.
may end up taking long to get that update out, I am prioritizing map stuff and it's a little screwed up
This is awesome especially with the last update, I love how with this mod the smoke seems to be sticking around for much longer which is really cool, you can run a section on a road and by the time you're done, there's still some smoke around where you started.
Mod looks really great! One question, is it possible to slow down the rotation of the individual smoke textures (or what ever they are called). For example when I'm doing a burnout, there is lots of smoke lingering and each of the smoke "clouds" is spinning quite fast even they aren't moving in any direction. I checked that the wind is 0, so realistic smoke wouldn't move really that much. Vanilla smoke does that same spinning too, but it would be great if you can at least slow it down. Edit: I see that only the smoke on tarmac does this crazy spinning. Dust from the gravel looks awesome and smooth without that much movement.
I still think it's incredible that I can just send a message and ask for something. Back in the day no matter how messed up the game was, I just played it over and over again. I couldn't even imagine that someone could fix a bug.
--- Post updated --- I hope the smoke lasts longer and that the smoke is also a bit bigger. --- Post updated --- I really like this mod; it has a dense amount of particles, which I appreciate. I hope you can improve the smoke effect when vehicles skid because I feel like there isn't enough smoke. I hope you improve that detail, and also that smoke appears when you crash hard, which, if I remember correctly, was a feature in some very old versions of BeamNG. --- Post updated --- However, I've noticed that when I use it with this mod, there's a conflict the particles from the Modgods Spark Mod don't appear. Here's the link so you can see the mod: I hope you can fix that too. https://www.beamng.com/resources/modgods-spark-mod.39231/ --- Post updated --- I hope the smoke lasts longer and that the smoke is also a bit bigger.
I'm really enjoying this mod at the moment, but I started to wonder if there could be some kind of simple control panel for the smoke effects @ZEKWANNA 0.2 ? For example in this image you can see that the dust is rising slowly up and it doesnt really fade away that fast. Sometimes the dust trail is like 10 meters above the ground after a while, but it still looks almost the same when it formed on the ground. Almost like a plane flew over with smoke trails. Personally for me, there could be even little bit less smoke or the fade time could be slightly faster. But like Papu321 above wished for even more smoke, thats why some kind of control panel would be awesome if it's possible to add it. If there is already such a thing somewhere, sorry I couldn't find it.
