I think this is teasing a taxi mode for BeamNG (can be proved with the teaser being stated as “Where to?”)…

 

"we ported Raceless' career overhaul into the base game in BeamNG 0.40"

 

technically taxi mode already exists

 

by the way this is compressed, this appears to be a still from the ps5 trailer, which therefore means that a trailer is waiting to come out

Very good point! That could mean the PS5 version will release somewhere around September!

 

Which in turn makes me think that 0.40 may release alongside the ps5 version, along with multiplayer. I think content wise, it will also include the European semi, the crusher, and possible EU trailers. 0.41 could bring us a new map, since we’re at the 4 year mark, meaning we’re due for a new map this year. The holiday update seems more likely for that.

i mean ps5 is all its teasing. though maybe the bluebuck taxi livery will be recolored in 0.40/ps5? since it is recolored in the teaser

Nah, I would want the PC and PS5 version to have content parity. Version exclusive stuff is annoying. Unless its something only a PC can do, both having the same stuff is way better.

 

Its just a config, plus its fun to have a few little easter eggs.

 

I also hope PS5 gets something exclusive. I wouldn't mind not getting it at all. It's such an accomplishment I just love that this is happening. I'm so proud of these guys whether me saying so matters much at all. Been gaming since PS1 and no other devs have done anything as amazing as Beamng. I kinda already made that Steam awards theme when I was pushing it everywhere to make people vote beamng for labor of love and kinda turned out cool so it would be cool having an official Playstation brand racing theme like have Playstation as a sponsor on some race liveries.

 

I feel like BeamNG is gonna become a PlayStation Exclusive in a matter of months (prob might be unlikely, as an XBox port could happen soon too!)…

 

That would be kinda, awesome. Idk for sure becasue I never looked but does the PS5 have a better cpu and like more ram? I heard that but never confirmed but that alone would make me think itll be a WHILE before it hits xbox. I mean if I'm remembering correctly I could be wrong af.

Edit: google says the xbox cpu is 8 core 3.8ghz and ps is 8core 3.5ghz but nearly the exact same. Also says the xbox gpu is a little better but again the same architecture just like the cpu is. That confuses me cuz going by numbers the xbox should be more capable but I always heard ps5 plays smoother and just better in every case. I really dont understand that.
