well it will need to run on the S-series and i doubt it i have one but it is good and it might take a long time --- Post updated --- i love the update and a mod did make this
So I'm not imagining the FPS bump I received? I went from high 80s to almost 100fps (down by the downtown ocean boardwalk area on West Coast) after the hotfix, and I was thinking maybe I was imagining things. Edit: The screen dimming feature also makes a world of difference for night driving. Such a solid hotfix all around
Hey! First of all: Thanks for the 0.39.3/4 Hotfix Update, it really fixed a lot of issues! I'm very happy that the Siren Audio Bug got fixed However, I noticed a new issue. Even though I didn't find anything in the patch notes, the brightness of the lightbars seems to have changed. The vanilla lightbars are now visible again, and the illumination of the environment is very good But the bloom of modded lightbars is now way too dim and they're barely visible at daytime. See the attached pictures for comparison. You can see the lightbar being very bright and visible in one picture (made in 0.39.2). In the second picture (made in 0.39.4) it's now way less visible. The illumination of the environment seems to be unchanged though. This applies to all the different mods that introduce lightbars (at least the ones I tested), and is not limited to a singular mod. (left: 0.39.2 | right: 0.39.4)
I just want to say that the devs made ai racing so much harder by removing the AI tab from the radial menu, please add it back
ok i've come to an epiphany and plugged my brain for 30 seconds and I decided to check for the Localappdata folder... Turns out that purely deleted West_coast_usa from the \AppData\Local\BeamNG\BeamNG.drive\current\levels folder and it fixed it... a tip for everyone, don't listen to all the Miscreants that spit you to deep clean your cache and delete each of your zip mods, the problem is nearly everytime in the temp, the vehicles or the levels folders of your local BNG files
Beamng support has send me email that they fixed bug which i reported to them but the bug is still in the game after hotfix lol
I don't think two little 5 3/4 early '60s headlamps will have this much light output Brightness or wattage wise it only needs to be lowered a little, but the beam spread needs to be reduced a lot to be considered accurate for the era Though Im just nitpicking and actually like these overpowered lamps, I can seeeee
Well, the thing is that from the 40s-80s headlights were decently bright, especially when they were brand new cars. But now, they are so dimmer on almost all of those cars because of stuff like dirty ground straps and old wiring. Not saying they're as bright as modern cars at all but they weren't too dim either!
As someone with near 60 year old daily driver, I assure you, that with everything well grounded, relayed and generally in tip top shape, that that is not true, at all...
I had the same issue. solved by deleting the setting folder and let the game create a new one. Obviously i made a copy before doing it. Totaly unrelated....someone know how to NOT have recent maps& car show up on freeroam?
1. DCT Transmission Animation on the SBR – The dual-clutch transmission animation is alarmingly fragile. If you switch to manual mode while already two or more gears up and then brake hard to a standstill, the transmission logic stumbles and the animation glitches out, effectively breaking the visual feedback altogether. 2. Ardente shifter animation bug — the shifter itself moves correctly, but the entire base/mechanism underneath it moves along with the lever. It's supposed to remain completely stationary — like a BMW-style electronic shifter. Instead, the whole unit wobbles, which looks terrible and unrealistic, especially under certain lighting. 3. Foreground-to-Background Shadow Flicker – At certain moments, under specific circumstances, foreground shadows abruptly swap with background shadows. This creates a stroboscopic flicker effect that is not only distracting but, when it happens while driving, can be genuinely disorienting—almost like a mild epileptic trigger behind the wheel. 4. Aerodynamic Physics Regression (v0.39.3/4) — the way fast-moving vehicles affect static objects has taken a significant turn for the worse in this build. The air pressure wave from a passing car can no longer knock over a concrete block wall, and flags barely flutter in the slipstream. Other objects and vehicles show almost no reaction either—and beyond roughly one meter, the aerodynamic influence seems to vanish entirely, as if the air itself has stopped caring. 5. Jungle Rock Tunnel – the lamps themselves are invisible, though their light still works. Additionally, mirrors don't reflect any of that light, making them look unnaturally dark and out of place. 6. Random Texture Glitches & Black Artifacts – Something odd keeps happening: road textures suddenly shift or swap without warning, accompanied by mysterious black square artifacts that pop in and out of view. It's inconsistent, unpredictable, and breaks immersion every time it occurs. 7. Utah Tunnel Light Bleed & Flicker – In the Utah tunnel, light bleeds through from the outside in ways it clearly shouldn't. But that's not the only offender—several other tunnels, including this one, exhibit erratic flashes of light along the left side when driving through curved sections. I can't pinpoint the exact cause, but the visual effect is far from polished. 8. Inconsistent "Recent Objects" Menu Entry – When launching a map, the settings menu includes an option for "Recent Objects (Hidden)"—but here's the catch: that same exact entry is also present in the in-game menu once you're already on the track.
Why are the release notes for 0.39.3 and 0.39.4 not separately listed? Does that mean, 0.39.3 and 0.39.4 are the same?
was it rushing or dragging anyways, any info on whether the Wendover screen will be made brighter? its impossible to see during the day now
