I recently switched from Windows to Linux. Using Proton 11 with the DX11 B-NG Build loads fine with this mod. However, if I use this mod with the native B-NG Linux Build, it refuses to load. I cleared my cache, reinstalled the game & turned off my steam cloud saves. During the testing I did not use any other mods. I could not copy the lines directly as nothing would happen.
Hi everyone, I ran into a problem, I have police cars parked on the road with the emergency lights on and start driving only if they are "angered"...maybe there are mods with which they are incompatible? I'm sorry for any possible mistakes, I'm using a translator.
Doing my rounds, Overhaul 0.38 versions are not compatible in 0.39. A 0.39 compatible version is in beta on Patreon. Expecting the public release Friday, August 7th Thanks for your patience!
The 0.39 compatible version does not work in my game. Fresh install for 0.39 and all. Placed in my mods folder, activated in repo, nothing. Reboot the game, it's deactivated again. Any ideas folks?
had the exact problem, desperation i subbed another month on patreon and DL the beta and everything works as smooth as a freshly shaved anything. The free version is supposed to be updated soon though

At some point, the quarry logistics break down, making it impossible to deliver any cargo. Clean installation, only 2 mods: RLS itself and the Skeleton map.
How am I supposed to buy a vehicle now? The list on the phone is empty, and the computer icon doesn’t appear in the houses.
I'm also unable to play on the native linux build. Fresh user folder with only "rls_career_overhaul_2.7.0.zip" installed.
Anyone else having an issue with the delivery location on some jobs. With trailer delivery or car jockey. The waypoint leads to the location but there's no orange marker or the box on the floor to deliver to. I've been working around it by opening the menu at another delivery location then it appears. EDIT: wasn't on the hotfix2 which looks like it fixes this.
Linux issue + fix (for hotfix_2) I tried RLS on a clean prefix and clean ~/.local/share/BeamNG folder but got stuck on an issue that resulted in ending in freeroam under west coast map. After a few tries I simply threw Claude at the problem and it found the issue and fixed it: The console error was saying something about NIL in uiUtils.lua, which was a collateral. Here is the claude's summary if any Linux user would like to fix it themselves: 83.38396|E|overrideManager| Failed to load override "lua.ge.extensions.overrides.career.modules.insurance.insurance": insurance.lua:2194: attempt to index global 'career_modules_insurance_history' (a nil value) 83.38431|E|career.career| Career activation failed: RLS's insurance.lua has two load-time references to a sibling module's global: 2194: M.getPlHistory = career_modules_insurance_history.getPlHistory 2234: M.addToPlHistory = career_modules_insurance_history.addToPlHistory These run while the chunk is being compiled, before M.dependencies (line 7, which does correctly list career_modules_insurance_history) is ever read. So the global only exists if history.lua happened to be loaded first. Load order comes from career.lua:326 → FS:findFiles(careerModuleDirectory, '*.lua', -1, true, false), which returns files in raw filesystem order. On Windows/NTFS that's alphabetical, so history.lua < insurance.lua and it works by luck. On ext4 the order is hash-based — here insurance.lua came first, the global was nil, and career activation aborted at module #136 of ~200. That's why you land in freeroam with no car: activateCareer had already run removeVehicles = true and logged not spawning player upon request, then died before any of the remaining career modules (including uiUtils) loaded. This is a Linux-only bug in the mod, not something wrong with your install. The base game's own insurance.lua wraps it safely (M.getPlHistory = function() ... end), which is why vanilla career is fine. Fix applied Patched both lines into lazy wrappers that resolve the global at call time, and updated the entry inside the mod zip: M.getPlHistory = function(...) return career_modules_insurance_history.getPlHistory(...) end M.addToPlHistory = function(...) return career_modules_insurance_history.addToPlHistory(...) end
