It’s cause 0.39 has updated license plates, which broke some mods. Wait for them to be updated (or fixed by someone)…
I have found a texture / lighting bug on jungle rock island running Vulkan 0.39.2.1 AMD rx6950xt latest release drivers
check taskmanager/resource manager incase beamng instance didn't get closed properly, also check beamng.log and perf graph ingame. what stops you from adding the options you like? adding those is quite easy, info can be found in beamng documentation. post beamng.log, not your system info (page 7 in this topic) follow troubleshooting steps as outlined multiple times in multiple topics. Besides graphics being "better on 0.38 with mods" is subjective i fail to see what the issues you're having in the rant you posted, what's your point? EDIT: was checking your profile out of interest ( i have driven a volvo 960 for several years and i miss that car to this day so that peaked my interest) did you buy beamng in the meanwhile? anyhow, the issue i had with the error when exiting beamng is solved, for whatever reason file permissions were messed up in the main folder, i was busy with multiple things during updating so probably my pc just derped out.
I think the update is mostly misunderstood. 0.39 is probably the best update we had that got plummeted with the worst optimization and many bugs, making it very unready for release. How are the graphics better than 0.38? Graphics are more realistic but it could be the texture bugs that came with 0.39. And what is wrong with releasing a game to consoles? More people will play the game and it will be fun for them just as it is for us PC players (hopefully with no bugs this time...)...
this game wont stop ruining my enjoyment of the game and i cant just help it one of my fav mods decay to the update and simple_traffic is broken
By installing a transfer case (RWD) on the ARDENTE, the driveshaft becomes invisible, as does the transfer case itself. When you switch between cars, the selected HUD resets to the default one.
Anyone else found that forcing d3d12 has improved the ambient occlusion noise issue? It's not completely gone but it's not as ugly as it has been. Wanted to give credit where credit is due; I think the devs deserve a little more praise for their work on this. I think many people are kinda missing the forest for the trees here. It's not easy to roll out an entire graphical overhaul, plus the work needed to get the game as a whole up to spec for an entirely new platform, and to ensure that the user experience is similar enough for both ps5 and PC that it won't draw heavy criticism from a new and probably more fickle audience.
Mod manager still doesn't properly display mods that are downloading/updating. They show up in the download list in the Repository tab, but do not show in the Mods Manager tab. There is just a section that says "Downloading" and "Downloaded". I will get footage of this the next time it happens for you guys, but if you can replicate this on your end, please fix. It's been an issue since at least 0.36.
Thank u devs for letting us force DX12 mode! <3 BTW I noticed that DX12 have far greater render distance of small objects like trees, fences etc compared to DX11 (and 0.38 Vulcan) on the same settings. I always wondered why it's so bad even when I tried high settings and now it's fixed. Thanks!
This half baked update has halved my fps even after turning down most of my settings making it look like crap. Ryzen 5 8400f, 32gb ddr5, rtx 4060ti and I've gone from a comfortable 100+fps to a choppy 40-60fps. The devs are cooked and obviously think everyone owns a 9800x3d and an rtx 5080
I don't know if i'm the only one to experience this issue but i'm on max graphics, (and all graphics, all cars and all maps does that) but the lights just doesn't work, on cars and on street lamps, i have a i7 9750h and a gtx 1660ti laptop, soo i shouldn't experience this issue i think
Will it be possible to make custom user configurations to be able to be moved to different Subgroups within the Vehicle Selector? If that's already possible, how can we do it?
I also had and still have this issue for a long time now (since 0.36 could be true for me, but I have the feeling it started more recently). In addition to this, going to the mod manager tab also has the page scrolled down automatically to where the disabled mods start. If I want to see the beginning of the list or the "downloading" mods I have to scroll up all the way first...
How do I move from FCV to Vivace safely for "Vivace S 410Q Tourbillon" (the one I created for myself)?
That's too bad. In a future release, I hope that either they can be made to work together, or the Cherrier vehicles become separate models with their own subcategories. I think having subcategories like all other vehicles would be significantly more intuitive for new players. --- Post updated --- It's an evolution of BeamNG's music. I don't know how long you've been following BeamNG development (your profile says you joined the forums this year), but this is similar to the trailer for the PBR materials update all the way back in 2021: that also didn't sound identical to Gabester's music, but fit the atmosphere of the video well. Personally, I like the main menu music. It's like BeamNG is growing up, rather than staying stuck in the past and treading water.
