Changing vehicles doesn't help. The only solution is to change the texture quality setting. The cause is likely a bug related to how texture quality adjusts based on distance; for instance, if you use the free camera to travel far away and then switch back to the original camera view, the textures remain at the low-detail "distant" setting. This happens with the map as well.
I'm curious how everyone is finding the balance between the new graphics and performance. My first impression is positive overall, but I'd love to hear what settings other players are using to get the best experience.
Are you another person running a GPU without enough VRAM? Another Bug: The hydraulics on the heavy machinery are either really quiet or non-existent, and I don't remember them being that way.
0.39 was running fine on small island and smaller maps (40-60ish fps on normal preset) but for some reason West Coast USA and Italy just don't load in properly (no mods enabled) The grass is black and shiny the textures are all really low quality and everything just looks really bad. (FPS is also terrible, 20-30, using normal graphics) On a laptop with intel core i7 and nvidia rtx 3050ti (ran italy/west coast at 50-60 fps 0.38 just fine) Btw I run FH6 at 50-60 fps on medium graphics, and my laptop handles shaders on minecraft pretty well. Just pointing out that it seems like everything else runs fine on this laptop Anyone know what could be causing this?
Can I really not go to the time trials or any game modes when I'm in freemode? It seems like I have to leave the level.
My one Stembecco config randomly doesn't let me use driver cam? Every other car/config I've been in, it's business as usual. There's usually 7 cams to go through, but when I'm in this truck, there are only 6, and I cannot enter driver cam...strange. Even in other stembecco configs, there's no problems Edit: driving the HT55 in the dark, the headlight beam path appears to flicker, or go from narrow to wide sporadically
I think this is much more realistic. They have added more pump whine which is what you actually hear, and less individually cylinder noise because they don't actually produce much/any noise. The new wheel loader sounds are absolutely beautiful, thank you to whoever changed them! I quickly went through all the vehicles hydraulics and they all sound much more normal now too.
The bright screens on the interior of cars that have them trick the autoexposure system into drastically darkening cabin view at night, which dims the headlights and makes night driving basically impossible (see picture 1.) For cars without these bright screens, night driving is far better because this effect is not present, but the headlights are still dim and do not project far enough (see picture 2.) In this example, the D-Series' headlights are lighting ~50 feet of road according to the camera view distance UI. According to FMVSS standards, low beam headlights should illuminate at minimum 150-200 feet of road. Additionally, though this one is not a thing that inherently needs changing like the previous two, the beam pattern shown in picture 3 (used on most halogen cars, maybe all but I have not checked all yet) is not a real beam pattern used anywhere in the world (see the two types of beam patterns enforced by global governing bodies in picture 4.) As I said, not something that actually matters but for realism's sake could use changing.
can somone help me out i have a not great pc but i optimized my settings to run 60 fps while looking not bad ish with the help of a anti aliasing mod that got rid of jagged edges. but i just tried the new update. and overall on my end it looks like garbage. and with the new ui i cant restore the settings to my old settings since they got reverted.
Ryzen 7 5800X, 32 GB of RAM, RTX 5060 Ti with 8 GB of VRAM, high-medium settings (not ultra), 1440p… The dynamic textures make it look like GTA San Andreas, which, when running on DirectX 11, didn’t cause frame drops or have these issues. You guys need to look into this it happens to me after playing for 30 minutes to an hour. Please check it out because it really ruins the experience and drastically reduces the quality, whereas before it worked much better. And it’s not just me: this is happening to a lot of people, which means we can’t afford €700 graphics cards with lots of VRAM. Thanks (You can’t really tell from the photos, but it happens to me more noticeably I just didn’t take a picture of it.)
my shadows are darker than 0.38's nighttime, how do i fix this? I use Direct3D11, since 3D12 keeps crashing for me
0.39 Is so laggy for me, i get a max of 24 fps on grid small pure with only 6 mods on. And spawning vehicles is literally bugged out as It mostly says that the limit has been reached, despite the fact that i was able to spawn lots of cars in the previous update.
What's your VRAM look like? Unfortunately, if you're low on it, you may be only able to spawn 2-3 cars on larger maps. It's a new auto memory-dectection system that tries to prevent memory issues I think. I hope that becomes an optional setting in one of the hotfixes, or in 0.40, once again the auto system is helpful for lower-end hardware but annoying for other hardware.
Was the shift logic also updated? Automatic transmissions seem to downshift through gears a bit more reliably (such as the T-Series with engine braking), and also upshift if the vehicle is rolling down a hill as to not blow up the engine
i feel like this is the worst beamng update yet. ruinined the game. i just got used to the new tuning menu and selector wheel and now they make it even harder??? doesnt make sense. also, i used to be able to run normal graphics on west coast at 60 fps and now i cant even hit 60 on gridmap with lowest. none of my mods worked and just crappy overall
I've been spamming this thread with issues/bugs I've encountered, but as a whole, I think this is a good FOUNDATIONAL update. It was something that had to be done, but they have to iron out the kinks and expand on what they've started. I also think a lot of people have been able to skate by with really underpowered hardware, and they were under the impression it would be business as usual with this update. And I really think that this update is harder to run than the devs made people believe. Make no mistake, you do have to pay for the extra fidelity. Give them time to push a few hotfixes through, though, before righting this update off.
