Wendover's dash has weird illumination (it dims when i turn on headlights), and also it's barely visible during the day
Bug Report Summary Missing Content: A significant number of assets and textures are missing from the build. Vehicle Loading: Some vehicles are experiencing loading issues and fail to load properly. Performance Issues: Severe frame rate drops and a notable increase in stuttering have been observed.
Vehicle lighting becomes excessively bright and unnatural at night In version 0.39, vehicle lighting can become extremely bright and unnatural during full nighttime conditions. This is not limited to brake lights or one particular vehicle. Headlights, regular rear position lights, side marker lights and license plate lights can all produce strangely intense illumination on the road surface. The automatic exposure also seems to react too aggressively and inconsistently in dark scenes. Small changes in the camera position or scene composition can cause a major change in brightness, even when the vehicle, location, time of day and active lights remain the same. When the exposure becomes brighter: - Headlights heavily overexpose the road and nearby vegetation. - Regular rear position lights create very large red or orange pools of light behind and beside the vehicle, even when the brake pedal is not pressed. - Small side marker lights visibly illuminate the road as if they were powerful spotlights. - License plate lights can also appear excessively bright. - The vehicle body remains almost completely black, while the lights and illuminated surfaces become extremely bright and lose detail. - The color of some lights becomes washed out or nearly white because of the overexposure. In a darker exposure state, the same lights can look much more restrained and natural. This suggests that the automatic exposure may be strongly amplifying local vehicle lights. However, the lights themselves may also be casting too much light onto surrounding surfaces, because the red, orange and yellow illumination is still visible even when the exposure is lower. The issue is especially noticeable on completely dark roads without street lighting. Evening and sunset lighting generally looks very good, but during full nighttime conditions the vehicle lights often look far too bright, harsh and unrealistic. I have attached several screenshots showing the problem from different angles. Some screenshots also show how dramatically the result can change because of the exposure, despite the scene and vehicle lighting remaining almost the same.
Am I the only one that finds that the textures (and even the models) of the vehicles in this new update is like in lower resolution? On the Miramar for example you can clearly see the welds of the exhaust and a grainy texture on the engine block and transmission but the Ardente looks super blurry to me. Maybe it is because of the different lightning and shadows but I remember the textures were better?
I love the update and all the improvements it brought to the table but right now the game is in an unplayable state for me. Dx11 is now obsolete and doesn't even work right anymore I am having a major issue with motion blur, Dx12 is too much for my current pc to handle, so im left with Vulkan and the game runs on no more than 10fps using it so im in a pickle. Also I should mention the new UI is unbelievably cluttered and confusing compared to the previous iteration imo. It will certainly take some time to get used to it. BTW, this is not a post to discredit or hate on the developers of this game, I deeply admire and respect them for their long term dedication and hard work to improving this game over the years. Im sure it's no easy task and it is not my intent for this to sound like I'm just ranting for no reason I'm just very passionate about this game. Anyway overall I think the update is awsome and a giant leap forward for BeamNG as a whole, but I think it still needs some optimization. Looking forward to the devs patching it in the upcoming weeks!
Anyone else have a problem where the game will refuse to spawn multiple cars in. When on WCUSA the game would not allow me to spawn in more than 2 cars. In the previous version of the game I could easily have over 5 cars spawned at once and would use on average about 10 traffic cars + parked cars.
Thanks for reply, as of now I just single handedly enabled, that is working. However, new discovery.... all vehicles (including stock ones) always fail to load, even on empty grid map, I do believe there is an enabled mod that could be causing this, so i will try that before creating a ticket , to save us both time.
Playing more with the new shaders i believe that lights are emitted to late during the transition from day to night. Took a short video to demonstrate https://nextcloud.neverless.dev/raw/CD7RYkW6gbszTnw
it has disabled all of my mods and my automation mods and i am not re exporting as i changed the engines and some cars engines are the same as other models and as a example a car i made with a i4 for a supercar and then made a diffrent model and now it has a v12 and i am not re making the engine
question for Car_Killer: In the something-new-is-on-the-horizon thread, you mentioned that float point errors causing flickering had been "mostly fixed"... did some testing today, and can't say I see and major improvements, and still experience noticeable flicker at 20k from 0,0... Did I misunderstand you, or have that been pushed to a later update? https://www.beamng.com/threads/something-new-is-on-the-horizon.109827/page-8#post-1932495
i have a bug that every car yes even a pessima has asda i mean assitance that if a car stops in front of you the car brakes automatic and there was a mod like this mbut i dont have it installed so its in the game
I kinda wish we got a bloom slider back, as it can be extremelly strong in some occasions in my opinion. Otherwise peak update.
either you have a shit config, shit pc or a shit monitor, or a "PICNIC" problem note: PICNIC (Problem In Chair Not In Computer)
yeah same here. uninstalled and reinstalled the game. if i have 300 ish mods installed they show up. but anything over that, and it acts like they dont exist. they show in repo. but not in gameplay. oh well. rolling back to .38 so i can actually enjoy the game again lol. edit. 335 mods is the hard limit. any more than that and it completely ignores ALL of them like they arent there.
