at this point, the update could come out either this week or next week (or maybe the week that starts on 8/3/2026)
We can only hope at this point. Nobody but the devs know for sure…… …I do hope it’s tomorrow though too lol…..
Most likely that or Wednesday, they're probably just doing the final preparations getting ready for release and we also haven't had a proper normal in game screenshot from Tdev from the looks of it as they seem more cinematic from the trailer/update showcase potentially
That would be great. I'm about to hit my data cap. I know better than getting hyped again but man this update is gonna be such a banger. Can't wait to have midnight drags in the moonlight.
Can't wait for the new graphics! But am I the only one who will miss all the memories made with the old graphics (that were added in like 0.23)?
The way I see it, as long as I’m not forgetting anything, there’s three generations(?) of BeamNG. There’s pre-0.23, pre 0.39, and whatever we are getting after 0.39. Whatever generation you started playing during is what may seem normal to you, and everything afterwards graphically seems really new and foreign almost. It’s enjoyable for me! I started playing during 0.26, so the old graphics will always seem like normality to me. I’m super excited for the new graphics though! I NEED the Ardente as well.
Since 0.39 will bring in graphics, here's a history of BeamNG's graphics: 0.3-0.4.2: The OG graphics! They mostly remained the same with small improvments. 0.5.3-0.17: The graphics get some updates regarding LOD fixes/improvments and updated/fixed textures. They also get barely improved. 0.19-0.22: The graphics get updated HDR with lighting improvments. 0.23-0.24.1: PBR v1 (as I would call it). PBR looked a bit different due to not all maps getting PBR around then. 0.25-0.38: PBR v2. Most maps now have PBR, which makes the graphics look better. 0.39-present: Graphics get a major overhaul with a new rendering engine and more realism.
Maybe I am addicted to this game I been here since 2015. Dang I didn't realize this has been out for 11 years. It's such a drastic difference from those early builds to now.
I tried running 0.23 on my shitty old Lenovo laptop in late 2021 I think, and then finally got my nice PC in late 2022. I started playing in 0.26, 0.27 came out a month later I’m pretty sure.
