Stonefield County, Kentucky Stonefield County is located in western Kentucky (it is also heavly based on those areas). Its full of dense forests as well as fields and farms. While that might sound boring, it still features many cool and original locations for people to explore. Size, and why its different than others Size of the map is pretty huge, 16x16 kilometers full of roads, trails and towns for players to explore, making it one of the biggest maps yet (and possibly first 16x16 with details rather than 2 roads and 1 town across the entire map). If you were to take a tuned etk around the map's main loop that is almost 44km long (27mi) and floor it at an avarage of 213 kmh (132mph), you would complete it after over 12 minutes! What can be found on the map? It will feature both rural countrysite with roads and highways going trough fields, forests and farms, as well as towns, construction sites and other POI's to make the map less empty. It will allow players to do both, go on a road trip in the middle of nowhere and travel for miles without the need to drive on the same road twice, and/or drive from town to town, drive around the towns themselfes or discover other locations while on the road. Main features: Highways, interstates, and many other roads that fully support traffic ai Smaller "local" locations such as farms, construction sites, industrial areas or abandoned buildings Towns And something that cant really be found anywhere else: Custom liveries build into the map, which include police skins and custom police cars spawning in traffic! No more generic police cars, when driving in Stonefield, you will be driving alongside Stonefield County Sheriffs or (if spawned by hand) local departments! (Stonefield County Sheriff cars will spawn as functional police cars, while local departments will have to be spawned by hand if someone wants to play around with them. However all departments will have pre-made functional configs that will act as police in traffic if spawned) (Yes, I will try my best to optimize the map and keep it low-mid end pc friendly without reducing the details) Spoiler: Story of the map Long story short, me and my friends started doing realistic-like police chases on my edit of Garfield Heights, but we lacked the space, and no other map had those classic grid-like american neighbourhoods, so rather than wait, I started the project from scratch, so expect the map to have many escape routes and stuff Spoiler: Inspiration I take a lot of inspiration from stuff such as google maps straight from Kentucky, photos that NMH sends me, cities skyline's reddit, my or my friend's old maps, real life locations or other games like gta or Project Zomboid, which will be referenced in one way or another! Spoiler: credits Full credits will be made once the map comes out, but currently all the credits go to @NMH who makes the skins and all assets for the map (also keeps me somewhat sane) FAQ "When does it come out?" -Idk bro "Will it be super realistic?" -Nope, the map will be somewhat realistic I guess but it aims more towards fun and, like mentioned, multiplayer stuff I do with my friends, rather than being a literal representation of Kentucky "Is it going to be paid?" -There might be a paid beta at some point, but the full release will be 100% free I will keep on giving updates in replies to this thread as well as in the thread in the official discord of BeamNg
