Update Speculation thread

Mark my words, the new teaser is them showing the process for making the trailer for the Ardente, which means the update is basically finished, and they just are working on the devblog.

 

Reminds me of the original Forza Horizon, looks wonderful.

I highly doubt I'm the first to say this but it seems like the Ardente is meant to be like an Audi TT?

 

No no, you've got a point. I'd imagine so. I can't say so for sure, but i'm really hoping for a 12th July release!

 

that really looks like a trailer to me, if you look closely there is a wav file called Ardente Music Only, which is the music for the ardente

i actually dont want it to release on july 12th, because that is when i go on a 7-day vacation..

Ok, now after seeing the full thing, i'm totally on board with the theory that they are in the process of making the Ardente's trailer. Just comparing it to the trailer for the Bruckell Nine or the remaster of the Ibishu BX, that last shot has very similar elements to what they typically use in their Youtube trailers. I take it that means we can (hopefully) expect a release within the next week/week and a half?

 

If they are making the trailer, the update is very close

i hope the FCV platform as a whole gets a few improvements, the engine definitely needs it the most...

 

oh and the fps is also limited to 60 for youtube i suppose

 

I don't think creating the trailer for the vehicle means the whole update is complete and ready to launch in a week. Example - the PS trailer didn't indicate the game was ready for PS.

The media team likely tackles each feature as its ready.

 

Maybe not, but either way, Tdev did say that it's "not too many weeks left now", so while maybe not within a few days, i'd say that we're not too far off from the update.

 

Where'd he mention this? I completely missed that.
