Update Speculation thread

I agree. I can imagine the Ardente Arsenic with the same wheels as the Vivace Arsenic, for example.

 

If it does get an inline-3 I hope they use this to give the engine a boost in power. I understand why it’s the weakest out of all the Cherrier modular engines but come on, at least give it a tiny bit more power!

 

To be fair, I'd be more surprised if it didn't have the inline-three as a base option (or an optional engine swap). Unused engines are rather common in the game:

-The 2.2L inline-four for the Wendover (the 2.5L is in the Rally)
-The 2.0L diesel inline-four for the K-Series
-The 4.5L Gavril V8 swap in the BX and Hopper
-The 353 Gavril V8 swap in the Nine

There probably are a couple others, but these are the four that I can remember.

Yeah, there've been way fewer wheels being dropped lately. I guess it's because more wheels means more things in the common folder, which drags down performance.

This, I very much hope for. Just more tuning options for more of the base engines, in general, would be swell. (See: Any of the ~4.0L petrol straight-sixes, the LeGran engines, the base FCV engines, a fair few of the diesels)

Also, someone on the Discord thought that the Ardente is the "worst added vehicle from its release", which is...a bit strong, but it's understandable, I guess. This is our first new modern sports car since the Scintilla (four years ago), with the longest update delay since 0.3.1 (12 years ago), and it's basically a Vivace coupe with movable sunvisors and a funny spoiler, from what we've seen so far. I'm sure quite a few RWD swap mods will be released for this thing, judging by how many people wanted it to be RWD.

 

Sounds like the Discord. The car isn't out, and people are complaining. Some people over there have 10s of thousands of posts and talk nonsense day in and day out...Childish as hell. If you hate the content in the game so much, just make your own game; It won't cost anything but time, and those people sure have a lot of free time...

The car looks fun to me, and the back actually looks cleaner than I thought originally.

I didn't even notice how the engine sits I've been assuming it was rwd this whole time since it looks like a 370z

 

how can anyone hate this! Pure stunning, it will be likely lighter then the vivace, More boost, maybe a new engine, ( like a 3.0 i5 bigger then the 2.5 verison ) or something,

its just art on wheels, As much as am a old car guy, I love this thing already

 

I definitely don't hate it. I love the way it looks. I was just hoping it would be a rwd drift monster.

Those people never learned to value anything in their lives. They're all a bunch of ungrateful toddlers, honestly.
The BeamTeam bust their brains making the sim better every day and those guys just have nothing good to say about it. Not even the classic ethical rewards ("Well done", "How nice", "Give the devs a supermarket's worth of cookies" etc.).

Not to mention they're also impatient. As they said in the Sopranos, "Time and patience change the mulberry leaf to silk". They've never heard of that proverb either.

Sorry for this piece of word, it's a bit strong in its own right too but, man, this behavior of theirs just isn't nice.

No other devs have ever given their game and community so much. The game is true masterwork and if people don't appreciate them then idk there's no pleasing them.

I know right, the Devs work there ass off, least they know Most of us love the work, like the dump truck and the dozer ( front loader ) its REALLY not my thing,

BUT my god i love them, The passion and work put into them. is stunning, Even content i do not use, I respect and love

 

I don't understand theses people. The game cost 25 €. The all updates are free. The game it's the more complexe and best game. How can they complain ? It's the best game for an ridiculously price.

 

Hate to say it, but as a community (not beam, i'm talking about the gaming community as a whole) we became spoiled. It's like everyone expects infinite support for every game, forgetting that devs are humans (shocking, i know) and that nothing lasts forever.
We're getting 2 updates a year, on a game that's not full price at all, and it's not like they're small updates. It's beyond awesome, frankly, and complaining is dumb in this case
