Hi Jorge, how are you? Thank-you once again for this mod (and the config of my car! ). I was just wondering if I could help with a few little inaccuracies and bugs? - The inline-6 diesel models have the wrong exhaust tailpipes. - They should use the one you've named "I4 exhaust" - The part "Left Wheel Arch Protection - Paintable" is not showing on the vehicle when selected (the right side works fine) - The tailgate-mounted spare wheels / covers are colliding with certain trailers. I'm not sure whether this is due to an issue with the hitbox on the spare wheel / cover or whether it's an issue with the trailers. I was wondering about the possibility of removing the hitbox for the wheels / covers as a workaround if the issue is with the trailers?
i am working on fixing broken textures for this mod in my own time. --- Post updated --- fixed the no texture gearbox.
Sorry for the long time off...one of the reasons I have been out for so long is well...I feel I did all I could with these mods. I can't do the OCTA. Want to, but my skills have been outdated for years now...
I know this mod wont be updating for OCTA but land rover have just released the new Vertex Edition with different wheels, front and rear bumper a spoiler as well as a new P380 engine. I am by no means a modder best i can do is add rear wheel steering and change the sound but is a vertex edition possible.
I'm aware about the brand new facelift models, but...yet again, I'm way behind at the level of modding currently displayed on BeamNG, I can't do the OCTA, and I can't do the Vertex either...no one has ever volunteered to help with developing these new parts either, so my hands are tied.
Hey, you've already managed to bring us some of the best mods for this game and I for one really appreciate your work. I wish I could help with the modelling but I'd be starting completely from scratch as I've never tried to do it before. When you say your skills are outdated, what do you feel you need to learn? I remain in awe of the attention to detail of all the different trim levels and models in your Peugeot 205 mod!
Well...first of all, thanks so much as always for your kind words, regarding what I would love to do/add, some things could be considered gimmicks, mostly interactivity with the car. Do having...lowerable windows will be a gamechanger for the mods? Probably not. But would be a feature anyway, and there is an overlap between gimmick and useful, as stated, doing the OCTA needs for more advance knowledge both in modelling and LUA coding, since the OCTA mode changes how the car behaves in so different ways. Just doing the facelift bumpers is already a challenge for me, and if I did the Limited one for the 4Runner is because I managed to find a good 3D reference to build from as a template. So it's kind of a mixed bag. I'm proud of how far I got into BeamNG modding, the mods, cars, maps...but I feel I reached my limit. I can't avoid looking at certain mods which are just masterpieces, and I know these are just a handful of modders that are the elite, and I don't pretend to compete or even reach that level, but grounding myself on what I would want and should know how to do by now...well, it's been stated. OCTA, facelift....the 90 model. The 130. With the 205? The 5 door, the cabrio, the van. So many posibilities. I feel the mods are being kept from reaching a whole new level because of me, holding them back with my lack of skills, at least the 4Runner is pretty close to offering mostly everything people expect (well...except the pre-facelift model of course) and let's not get started on the Patrol/Safari, with just 2 configs. So long story short...I would need to know how to properly model out of nothing, not just modify what I already have. Coding, not only LUA code itself, but for example, how to create the required new engines, transmissions, brakes...needed for new configs. I'm really bad with technical data, in Forza for example I never tune any cars, since I don't know what the hell I'm doing, the thing is, I could try yes but...I somehow lack the needed foundations, I crawl as much as I can, and get as far as possible...sometimes I manage more, for example, I still don't know how I was able to do the yellow rear plates, which have become kind of a standard for modding. Seriously, I look back at the files, and I guess I was possesed by a higher power. I hope I don't sound too self-deprecating here, but it's hard to say otherwise, every time I had big plans for the mods, I'm always cut short after crashing down on what I can do, first rude awakening was the unsucessful Defender 90, and it hasn't stopped ever since...
There's a post directly above yours (so you should have had no problem seeing it if you read anything) quoting a message with a link to it...
