WIP 1968 Hoffman H20C Lancer

Essentially a fictionalized Mooney M20C Ranger using the Piccolina's F4 engine

As this is my first mod that even remotely managed to get past being a quick sketch in a Google Slides document it most likely will have very slow progress.

After way too much time the front cowling is just about done for the time being. Which means you should hopefully be seeing some engine progress very soon.

Will it have realistic crash physics like the B-25 mitchell

Will the flight instruments operate the same as the AN-12

When can we expect the release of the mod?

Today an airplane progress, I remember I can't do engine mounts until I finish landing gear and wheels.

So here is the first of the three planed wheel options and an air filter.

I have an idea that probably sounds stupid but maybe a twin engine option like the Cesna 402 I don't know I think it would be cool

 

i would reckon that would be better suited for a larger plane though. i dont think it would work well here for the size of the plane.

 

I could try to make a twin engine option. However it probably will quickly turn into the custom done in the backyard FAA now wants me dead twin engine conversion special rather than a factory thing.

And for tonight's random progress update:
engine / front landing strut mount, the start of the engine options (Sunburst engine also fits), and a sorta finished second wheel option.
I do still need to ask for permission to use the rotary engine, I'm still just trying to see what fits

 

This plane looks nice but im assuming that release is not close, im excited to see this one release. I do have some questions about it
1. Do you know what the cruise speed and max speed will be?
2. How breakable will this plane be?
3. Is the goal to make the flight physics realistic? b-25 like
