Last thing you need is deadlines and pressures that cause you to burn out, taking the fun out of building this brilliant game. Take all the time you need devs, and make sure you take time for yourselves. You do awesome work.

Yes I too would rather have the update come out by the Christmas/New Year break, then for it to be rushed with issues!

if it can run the current version, it'll very likely run the next one - it might even run better on 0.39, thanks to all the optimizations the devs have done.

You all do great work. I understand the time it takes to transfer to other platforms.

Would there be the chance to release a fix for the LUI(?) errors in Careers? I hope that is being worked on as well as I do love it, but the inventory errors from a Variety of system inventory failure points makes it tough to continue. I've had to make five separate sessions in Careers due to LUI error complication variety.

I have an issue that when the Navigation UI App loads, my game forcibly collapses to the taskbar, and about three more times I try to open it, it either gets a black screen or collapses again. The issue only appears with the new Navigation app. It never happened before 0.35 or in whatever version the UI app was remastered.

I have a question. In the post, you talk about GPU and RAM optimizations, but not about the CPU at all. Should we still expect some improvement in CPU performance, or not? Could there even be a performance degradation?

    Hello BeamNG team,

So I know you can't give an exact date, but could you give us a rough idea of when the console version might release? Cause we've waited this moment since a long time tbh and just give us a range of months would be appreciated

Thank you the best devs !!

    Hello BeamNG Development Team,

I was wondering if you plan to further improve or expand support for the PS5 DualSense controller's haptic feedback and adaptive triggers in the 0.39 releases, both on PS5 and PC.

If so, would you be able to share a little about what improvements are being considered? Additionally, are there any plans to include settings that would allow players to adjust the strength of the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers?

Thank you for your hard work and dedication to BeamNG. I also want to thank all the developers, past and present, who have contributed to this amazing project.

BeamNG.drive developers are aiming to deliver a flawless console experience with technical precision by integrating their soft-body physics engine into the hardware limits of the PlayStation 5. The developer blogs on their official website show that the team is carrying out meticulous, engineering-focused work for every single crash physics and suspension flex. The vision and passion of the BeamNG team point towards a highly anticipated console experience in the simulation world.

I am really proud of this.

To be clear: RAM, VRAM or CPU optimizations happen on every single update for years now. And in a few updates, also install SIZE optimizations, tho that's more rare.

In next update, RAM and VRAM optimizations are remarkable compared to the optimizations from previous updates. This is why we made sure to mention them. CPU optimizations are also being done, like they were done in previous update too, and nearly every major update in the past decade too. The CPU optimizations may or may not be noticeable, depending on your exact use scenarios, your hardware, etc.

About processor optimizations. Single-threaded computing in the context of a game is the most resource-intensive activity for a processor. Since the game is soft body physics, before getting the endpoint of the deformation calculation, it is necessary to calculate and deform the nodes earlier. For example, when a car jumps and lands on wheels from a great height, it is necessary to calculate the wheel deformations, then these data are used to calculate the changes in the vehicle's body shape, and then how it affects the body deformation. This is a sequence that cannot be done in parallel and must be performed sequentially. So that's my question... To what extent have single-threaded computing been optimized? And how else can we accelerate them? Is it possible to use assembler inserts to maximize control over processor registers and speed, or something else?

Not sure I follow. Physics are multithreaded already. Hand-crafted assembly is already being used. CPU optimizations can happen and do happen all the time. They are not one-off events, it's a constant fight during our regular development. All easy optimizations were done years and years ago. What's left is the hard stuff, the kind of optimizations that yield, say, 0.1% fps improvement after weeks of work. We mostly fight to try to offset the increased quality of content, gameplay and physics, so that performance overall can remain the same. This is how we're able to avoid bumping up the minimum requirements every half year.

Has anybody else noticed mods disappearing off the website and in game repository? Im wondering if they are doing a purge in preparation for PS port? Maybe I have just gotten terrible at looking?

I personally haven't noticed that, do you have any examples of this happening or mods that you believe were removed?
