first thing first, the email support team sent me here, so please forgive me. i am new here. so since the console version of BeamNG.Drive was announced today, i thought to myself that two features would be extremely useful. and please forgive me if theses two features are too unrealistic or impossible due to limitations. feature #1: linking steam account to the PS5 version of BeamNG.Drive. i think this feature would be extremely useful for players who have a PS5 and PC version of BeamNG.Drive. feature #2: add mod support to the PS5 version of BeamNG.Drive. if Sony allows the BeamNG devs to add mod support to their game, that would be awesome. i want to have the same option to download a new map from the mod menu just like the PC version of BeamNG.Drive. before anyone asks: yes, i do play this game on PC. i just want the console version to feel somewhat similar to the PC version as possible. i just don’t want this game lacking on missing features or what not. because if the console version of BeamNG.Drive is missing important features like mod support for example, console players will be mad or disappointed, and i don’t want to see that happening. so as a console player and a PC player, please add theses two features onto the console version of BeamNG.Drive. experiment theses two idea behind the scenes and see if it works or not… every game studio has this option, it’s not a bad idea to experiment first behind the scenes BEFORE releasing. and if it works, then continue working on it until it becomes refined and polished instead of broken and useless. anyway, hopefully this post can motivate someone on the team that’s reading this. and if this post is too unrealistic, i will give moderators full permission to delete this post if it’s too unrealistic.
Sony might allow mods from the official repo. I mean they did say "all to make sure BeamNG keeps its soul intact on the way to the couch". Modding is an important aspect in the community. I mean mods go through a process to ensure they met a certain quality in the official repo. They could add an extra step to it, testing it on PS5. Of course Sony is strict but they could add a tag like [PS Approved]. It would obviously mean lot more effort and time going to checking these but it is a possibility.
