Update Speculation thread

Its honestly risky for the devs to wait to release, since GTA 6 Marketing will likely be starting in the next month.

 

so tl;dr, it'll be most likely a summer update (veeery late june-august), as after that most people would possibly be focused on GTA VI, making the PS5 release risky. i doubt they'd be able to slide the update into October, so im still positive on a July release

 

Dynamic reflection seems to be better.

 

This is a small detail that I noticed in the photo of the new Cherrier, but if you look closely at the roof scoop, it finally uses the paint scheme of the car instead of just being painted one solid color. Not a big feature (honestly just a fix of a pet peeve) but THANK GOD.

 

I've tried doing some comparison shots between the current version and the trailer:

The screenshots and the new car, both look amazing!
The double Race Exhaust is a great hint of the ICEs in the new car! Also, since an aero model overhaul was officially announced, should this also mean that the single Race Exhaust format was deemed unsuitable for properly symmetrical airflow under the diffuser of the FCV Platform and will be replaced with the double one? Hmmm...

Yes! Was just thinking of this! The roof scoop should really be painted within the liveries, not sticking out of them like a sore thumb!

 

That's a huge stretch. If anything, it's either a V engine or just a twin tip muffler

 

I wouldn't say crashing but it is frustratingly slow for sure. Could be high traffic from the recent news, especially considering this website is ancient.

 

What you say is also a huge stretch since the FCV platform has no V-engines and wasn't made for them either (a) and the Race Exhaust is a big fat straight pipe, with no muffler whatsoever (b).

I had to see side by side images to notice the difference! Man, the environment is warmer, cozier, more luminescent, more colorful and livelier now! A huge improvement!

if I’m wrong though I will absolutely eat my words here. I’m sure if it’s not official, someone will make a mod for a 5 door eventually

 

I noticed a small little detail in the new video, during the Hirochi Sunburst drift scene, the turn signals are actually LED, not halogen like they are now in game

 

Being able to pick between halogen and LED would be super cool for some older vehicles. I'm sure devs would read this comment and say "Yay, even more work". But I enjoy seeing the variation irl

 

suicide doors at the back would be kool

 

I'd definitely love more headlights in general, especially aftermarket choices. Hopefully with the work the team has been putting into lights/lighting lately we will start to see some... Some obnoxious colored LED headlights would really fit the modern ETKs and aftermarket lights in general would be a nice way to spruce up some of the "modern classic" era cars in game. When I was shopping for new lights for my S197 it was overwhelming how many aftermarket options there are, would be great to see that sort of thing in Beam.

I did settle on CCFL halos with warm halogen bulbs for my S197, it gives a nice contrast
