Did you ask permission from the original mod authors before fixing & polishing the mod for the current version? You should've at least included it in your post.
Thank you OP for maintaining a high quality mod and updating it to be compatible with the latest version of the game! The versatility of this mod is great. Oh my god not this BS again. Most time people lose interest over hobbies with time. It is normal. Do we really need to ask a person who has last been seen 1 year ago? 5 years ago? Where do you draw the line? They no longer care about the game. If they don't even go on forum, why do you think they would care what would happen to their mods? They have moved on in their life. Gatekeeping mods is crazy. It's a complety different story if the original modder is still active and directly prohibits modifying their mods. Their wish should be respected. And it is never okay to resell someone else's mod via Patreon / Ko-Fi / other platforms. With each game update (patch) many great modded cars and maps die. LUA code breaks. Triggers stop working. The default vehicles that mods are based on are either changed or completely deleted (og sunburst, og semi truck etc) rendering the mods unplayable. Relative texture and materials paths break (see great glass apocalypse of 0.28+) A previously perfectly working vehicle / map that someone poured a lot of time (30-100 hours) into breaks because of a small change that takes marginally less time to fix. Simple fix of "no materials" can take 1 hour give or take. Why prevent new players from experiencing the same fun as contemporary player base that was active when the original mod was released? I think we should never punish people for enriching everyone's experience and fixing old mods. Most old mods that do get fixed are GOATed by the process of elimination. Noone would fix a terrible mod. BKL (Bisofication) and DSC (DrowsySam) come to mind. Their mods are old but gold. Spoiler: My personal TOP 3 bs comments: 1. Did you ask permission from a person last seen in mesozoic age? 2. Did you waste time modeling the 3D model yourself entirely from scratch just for the final result to be inferior to a high-quality downloaded model? (unless you're a professional modder with vast experience) 3. When release? Tomorrow? Hurry bro.
Looks like the interior lights are NoText, so I'm unable to use my light's while driving in first person, I hope that's not to much trouble. Possibly just on my end though I doubt it. Still an epic mod.

Come on its just an old mod, who cares.
I have a question. I'm getting this texture error when I select models with the XL cab. Does this happen to everyone or just me? Sorry if you see any errors; I'm using a translator.
what about if the author is inactive but prohibits people from modifying their mods, like the case of ax53 (he didnt like that people didnt respect his wishes of not modifying and touching his stuff and left the community)
Hello. I've run several tests, including a deep cache clear and a complete game reinstallation. While the curtain textures are now fixed, a new issue has appeared: some wheel parts (specifically, the brake drums/hubs) are missing textures (a yellow "No Texture" indicator appears). I'm running the completely stock game with no other modifications except for this MAN TGS. It seems that correcting the cab materials caused a routing conflict with the wheel and axle materials. Any ideas why this is happening on a clean install? Yes, but that wasn't the problem. Apparently, overwriting the 6x4 fifth wheel truck model from the parts menu causes this. I don't know why. I usually overwrite models that don't have images so I can identify them, but I didn't know this could cause a texture problem. The issue is that after fixing it, a new error appeared with the brake drums and other axle parts of the truck.
