    Advanced Power Curve

    norm.jpg

I wanted a better power curve display.. so I made one!
One that shows all the info you would want and as a bonus, it has a ghost hold curve for curve snapshots, it's resizable, has a minimise button, unit conversions, colour changeable and can be minimized to a small tab when not needed..

    Mod Post Here

    Display
    Simple power and torque curve
Solid are forced induction or Nos
    Dashed are the N/A performance
Simple box showing peak values @ RPM
Simple Graph values with optional extra value numbers

    Ghost Display
Click HOLD button to take a snapshot of current curves so you can compare when tuning your car
    ghost.jpg

    Resizable
    Resizable Text
    Resizable window/scales

    Colours
    Change background opacity
    Change colours of each curve
Change colours of app accent colour
    colours.jpg
    transp.jpg

    Minimal
Minimise to simple tab when not in use
    closed.jpg

    Settings
    select units:
    HP, KW, PS
    NM, LB-FT, KG-M
Able to selects smaller secondary unit display
    Most features are toggleable
    or have opacity controls
    Launcher and window position controls
All settings save and are persistent

could you maybe make it show the power its currently producing and the peak power? basically just like in beamng's dyno ui

New version doesn't work on my side for some reason. Previous update is fine.

Thanks for the heads up! I was a bit of a sausage, was going to rename app files but, missed one entry when reverting back.

v1.8 should be fixed and now submitted/waiting approval on the repository.

I have also attached the file here in case anyone wants it sooner, enjoy!

Hmm, I've not tried it in BeamMP, so I'm not sure about that, sorry.

Best bet would be to try it in a normal free roam game first?

You could try the v1 and see how that works in MP (manually download from the repository link in this original forum post).

Have uploaded an update to v2.0 - waiting for repo approval so give it a couple of days to go live.

I have restructured the back end to be a bit more robust in hopes of catching outlier issues.

    Added:

    • More colour options
    • More opacity options
    • Toggle to handle Hold / Ghost curve when switching cars
I cant make the app store every held curve and that could bloat out of control after a while so when switching cars, you can choose:
    • Keep car A's held curve while switching to car B (handy for comparing)
    • Wipes held curve on car switch to keep UI clean

I have found a bug with this that occurs both in 1.8 and in 2.0. The bug is that when hold is active the dashed na lines show even when their oppacity is at 0%. It seems there is a second set of lines that is being rendered, because when the na lines oppacity is at something like 50% and you turn on hold, the lines look more solid.

    Thanks for the info/feedback.
I have just tried to replicate that on my system - I can't seem to replicate this, things are behaving as they should for me.

You are correct in that there are x2 sets of dashed lines that are drawn when you click hold.
This is intended (dashed lines are visible when turbo, supercharger or Nos fitted).
    Set A:
The First set of dashed lines you see shows the current/live N/A power/torque of the cars motor.

    Set B:
The second set of dashed lines when HOLD is clicked is the '"frozen/held" dashed line of the cars N/A power/torque at time of clicking HOLD

Now, with Hold active, Set B will be frozen and stay the same while Set A will change in real time to reflect any new changes made to cars N/A power/torque when tuning - this is so you can visually see how your new tuning/pars have changed power/torque since you last chicke the HOLD button.

If i turn Dashed N/A Curves to 0, I see no dashed lines and then if i click HOLD, i see the hold dashed lines but, if i turn Hold Dashed to 0, those also disappear leaving no dashed lines at all visible.

I'm sorry if this sounds obvious and you have already tried this but, have you tried turning down the "Dashed N/A Curves" opacity?
    dashedlines.png

There are x3 line opacity settings:
    • Hold Curves - The hold solid lines
    • Hold Dashed - The hold dashed lines
    • Dashed N/A Curves - The dashed lines that show when hold is off and also when hold is on
(Dashed lines are only visible if the car has a turbo, supercharger or Nos fitted)

With the Dashed N/A Curves on at 50% and then click HOLD and have the Hold- Dashed - If they overlap at all, they will show as 100%.
If you change the base engine power to create a difference in the N/A power (dashed lines) then, they should deviate and show as 50% opacity when they are not overlapping.

I was thinking that I should change the name of the Dashed N/A Curves name in the settings menu to better match the HOLD names.
Possibly change it to N/A - Dashed or Normal - Dashed to make it clear and keeping similar to other line opacity setting names?

..phew, I'm sorry for the longish post above..
Hopefully that helps clear my/the apps design and you're able to test and confirm if things are working as intended or if there is still a bug somewhere?

Здравствуйте! Существуют ли какие-либо руководства или документация по Lua или JavaScript для разработки пользовательских интерфейсов?

It seems the issue on my end was fixed by clearing cache after updating, it works as intended now. I suggest adding "clear cache after updating" to the mods description. Btw thanks for making the mod, I really like it.

That's great to hear it's all working for ya now.
I'll add the clear cache note when I'm next on my PC, thanks
