Another day, another new and epic BeamNG update (I’m a bit late to the hype Ik)! Moonhawk remaster when?
@tdev you and everyone else deserve a pat on the back ... Seeing how neological turned the quarry into a scrap yard... You guys way out did yourselves with the breakable parts on all of this update. Let the rest of the dev team know that they can celebrate this time big time. Pun not intended lol --- Post updated --- For context. Neilogical threw them into a pile and this is the aftermath lol
Ah, thanks for clarifying, but this really was a nice surprise today --- Post updated --- How long before we get something ridiculous like this?
I watched mighty machines as a 5y old. Ahhhhh. Good times, good times. --- Post updated --- My Huzy lowkey dose't own a Airfryer is I cushed his car with a 45678KG Hirochi HT-55 Dump Truck - MOBOZO
The problem was definitely you complaining (twice) about the devs "building up hype with teasers and leaving the community hanging", not "guessing too accurately". However, it's a good idea to not let hype get the best of you when teasers appear for future updates. Remember that the devs are doing all of this out of appreciation for the community, and not charging us for updates or sneak previews like other studios.
A modern body-on-frame pickup truck (and accompanying SUV for the platform similarity) is the most obvious unfilled niche of the ones you listed, something that could even come with electric variants. A purpose built race car ("not Formula" or "not LMP") would be cool to come with the future tyre physics overhaul, like you mentioned. A city car on the other hand... it would be tricky to distinguish from the Covet, the Pigeon, and the FCV (and also the Piccolina and Miramar, I suppose). Perhaps a modern version of one of them or something that overlaps in role with multiple? I trust the devs to come up with something interesting given how they cooked for this update, so I'm happy we're continuing to get free updates.
I got carried away because the teasers kind of were just kind of that obvious at some point and I should have kept my mouth shut but... That's clearly what did not happen. Next time I will do better. I hope ... This year has been rough on all of us. I was not trying to bum out the staff or anything else. I was not trying to start something with that. I'm going to go get some rest. They out did themselves so significantly I think people will be fine for until March of next year before they get bored. That's just a guess. Mod creators at this point are going to go absolutely ballistic. The sky is the limit for attachments now as well --- Post updated --- This year has been extremely rough and my mind has been literally all over the place.... I'm sorry.
Has anybody spotted "The Site" at Italy's quarry yet? Seems like a good set up for a bunch of tunnels and stuff.
We all get carried away from time to time (myself definitely included), and it's a sign of maturity to be able to apologize and own up to it I'm sure in the future if we keep our comments and speculation purely to the contents of any teasers (and not use them to predict update dates or bug the devs if they have to go silent for a bit), we won't cause trouble for the devs. I'm going to remember to do that too.
We literally already have those (except not modern). Saying that's the "most unfilled niche" while knocking the city car idea off the table because it could be too similar to the Covet is really funny. When I imagine a city car, it's something along the lines of a Renault Zoe or the Dacia Spring. Small, nimble, electric, modern. So now we've arrived at the same conclusion, same concept that's already there, except modernized. While the next vehicles to be added are also dependant on community suggestions, I would assume the devs would probably prioritize adding entirely new vehicle classes (like the MD-Series, a medium duty truck, or the Nine, historical pre-war vehicle). Although the game did already have a supercar, and then they've added another, except modern, so it's genuinely hard to tell what's next in store.
Nobody's perfect. Everything online should always be taken with a tiny grain of salt at the least. Except when it's some sort of person you know who that is destroying the goddamn planet. Take all of their words extremely seriously as if they are threat *melts to a blob tired from protesting*
