Oh same. But I don't ever remember -40, worst I can recall was close to -30. But I wouldn't be surprised, our winters could get brutal

 

Ok, the update doesn't come today. Tomorrow it is, then. Probably!

 

Devs can we get one more teaser today

 

It's not really necessary, tbh. The update is coming anyways. Knowing the gist of the update's content is enough until it eventually comes. Just wait a few hours!

 

Nothing hurts more the Scintilla's handling than this. You put the Race LSD and nothing else and BAM, Handling improved by 200%

 

some sports cars do have a weird open diff setup but yea it helps

 

Nahhh, I wouldn't say that. It handles well and its limits are set really high. And don't forget, it's first and foremost a road car. And road cars have to make ends meet in various ways!

 

Sorry, but the Bolide handles A LOT better. I don't know what happens to it, but the Scintilla has a VERY weird handling. THe Bolide is fine. With ABS and throttle control/traction control, a 700 hp Bolide is A LOT easier to tame than a Scintilla. The Scintilla will drive well, with A LOT of downforce acting on it, but will still leave a lot to be desired compared with a Hillclimb SBR, for example (race config vs race config).

 

The Bolide is challenging but very rewarding to drive. The Scintilla is just frustrating. 900th message!

the coldest I've experienced was ~ -50f in Wyoming while stuck at a buddy's house during the winter trying to cross the country, it was so cold that i couldn't start my car at all, i don't think it would even try to turn over.

Bella’s T-Series mod has these, but it’s more covers from the inside than exterior covers, so they will differ in color from the exterior in most cases.

 

The scintilla just has too much power, you need to be very gentle with the throttle, but that’s realistic tbh.

 

I had this issue too and thought that the Scintilla understeered, but I came to the conclusion that it doesn't

Driving something like that in real life would feel a lot more intense since the g-forces involved at that speed, even at a slight corner, are insane. I think we just don't realize how fast we're actually going in video games since we're only relying on one sense to show us.

I find that some cars in real life tend to have this effect too. You don't realize how fast you're actually going until you're suddenly blowing past everybody else and look down. Anyone who has driven or ridden in even a moderately fast car probably knows what I mean lol.

Doesn't matter how well tuned your car is for handling, physics is physics. You might just be driving the Scintilla way faster than you think since it accelerates a lot quicker than it seems

Also the right tires can make all the difference. Try racing slicks, they make handling at high speed SO much better

 

I don’t want to get too off topic cause this isn’t the thread for it. But the scintilla handles really well with enough downforce and a tune. The power on that car is insane, especially stage 1,2+. 1200+ hp. That’s why I always run it AWD too

Eh, probably not as big as 0.27 was, unless BeamNG wasn't teasing all of the content that's included in 0.38.....

The reason why BeamNG is actually a good game is because of the development team and playerbase. Let's talk about the dev team first. They listen to the community and put solid effort into this mod. They aren't like Roblox where they don't give a damn about the community and are completely out of touch. The player base has some annoying and not so good people are here and there, but the playerbase is ten times better than other games. I think the most nicest people are usually BeamNG players (some examples are McBeamer, LegThePeg, Musicman, pigeonperson, CrashHaven etc). I think that’s what makes BeamNG amazing and great and I hope to see the game rise to popularity for years to come.

AS someone who does not like super cars IRL much ( give me a stock 1930s sedan ( or coupe ) or anything aussie mostly XF falcons and anything 1950s over all ( USA AUSSIE UK ECT )

I do think the scintilla handles really well as well.

OT, I cant wait to crush the scintilla with the mine truck and other cars, maybe it can crush the T-series or least the MD-series,

i wonder what car related stuff we will get. maybe some mine configs for the D-series MD-series T-series, and maybe the hopper, maybe some love for the hopper may be good not a remaster but something small to do with the mines

 

Those huge tires would be a good opportunity to add a Monster Truck config for the D or MD-Series but I think they would have teased that if that was the case.
