If you are done with your map you can make a basecolor texture for the whole map. This basecolor texture must be placed in every terrain material. Since it is blurred by the game engine the blocks don’t look that harsh anymore. Another possibility is not to use pbr materials for the terrain. The old materials blend into another. Take a look at Barbents Homerange by @Barbent Servo GT. He uses that technique for some of his terrain materials if I remember right.

I think you can change the sky color in sunsky. Search sunsky in the scene tree

Hmm, honestly not sure how to change the sky color. I don't think the sky has a material like other objects do, so there's no main json file. I couldn't really find anything online either. Try maybe making a post on the forums here, or asking on the beamng discord server.

Without looking into the files my best bet would be the scenetree item for sunsky. I would check the properties in the inspector and play around with them.

I tried some values and the best I could do is change brightness. Maybe you have to change the skybox

Take a look at sunsky in the scenetree and elaborate on the properties there. Perhaps they use an albedo overlay or something like that.

forgot that I posted something about that. I’m getting old.
