Two step forum verification

Unfortunately, I have to turn off two step verification after 30 days as it "The two-step verification value could not be confirmed. Please try again." despite my input of correct code from my e-mail within 15 minutes. I had to use one of my backup codes, which are finite and one-time use only, I need to turn off 2fa before the locked out of my account. If this prevents me from uploading files, I'll pause developing my mods, sorry.

 

Just makes everything harder ngl

 

This was done because of the american road insident. Its a good thing.

 

Pretty sure theres better ways of fixing that problem tho

 

i cant even acess the 2fa verification page cuz everytime i type in my password nothing happens

 

try logging in and activating it on your phone, it worked that way for me

 

Just use an authenticator app. It works perfectly fine for me.

 

The enshittification has to the point that you need a mobile app to post image on a online forum

 

Whats wrong w your accounts? All this seems to work fine for me. BeamNG needs this 2 step because of the american road incident.

 

I have had no issues with 2FA on Beam its not a worry to me, seems to be working well

 

Times are changing. That’s the new normal.

 

We should reject the worse "new normal" and preserve the (online and others)environment for us and the future generations.

All mods are approved manually, the mod approvers should have checked the files more carefully.

 

You don't, E-mail two step still works.

 

The e-mail works randomly. some users reported various bugs

I'm bumping this because when I enter my password to access the two-step page, it simply reloads the page and asks my password again forever

Nevermind I fixed it by clearing cookies, and had a lot of trouble to log again in my account because Steam login is trash

 

had the same problem, but nearly lost my account because of it.

I hate to be that guy, but posting an angry rant isn't going to help matters any further. Look, I dislike the forums as much as everyone else on here (though, I dislike it for different reasons), but that doesn't mean that ranting about how bad it is will change anything. I do admit however, the forums definitely need some work. Before the website update, everything worked as normal -- now, you can't even remove ratings from a post. I guess, though, the devs see the ability to make the website fit your screen as a worthy tradeoff for that feature.
