I'd say out of all of the traditional school subjects, history is my favorite. I've never really taken any affinity to memorizing years and dates, but I love stories, and I feel like that's kinda just what history is, or at least is made out of. I'm not super-versed in East Asian history, though. About the only prominent figures I know off the top of my head are Sun Yat-sen, Pol Pot, and Admiral Yi Sun-sin, and I had to double-check the spelling on that last one lol.
