ValN84 updated Autobello Baionetta with a new update entry: Updated to Alpha 0.3 Read the rest of this update entry...
Some more miscellaneous feedback based on alpha 0.3: - Diesel i6 on luxury config feels unreasonably loud and boomy for whats meant to be a well deadened, smooth diesel cruiser. This seems to be a problem with the exhaust as when tipping the car over the smoke produced from oil starvation exits the exhaust around the transmission (see image). - Engine on GTX/GTXX/Velocita Extra/Velocita/Race still aren't jbeamed properly and move around a lot/drag on the floor. Probably been reported many times but it makes me not want to touch those configs - Automatic transmission creep on GTXX feels unreasonably strong to me. - Might just be me but the race config feels too unruly to be at all useful. Not a balanced config and really difficult to utilise Some really nitpicky stuff: - Cone air intake looks ridiculous on engine model on sporty config - Autobello logo on standard steering wheel looks a bit blurry/crusty. Texture problem? - It would be nice if the civetta steering wheel had its logo replaced down the line before a proper release This is probably the only time I've actively searched for things that bothered me about a mod and listed them on a note to submit feedback. Mod itself is coming along really nicely and I hope this stuff (whether already reported or not) can help out
Thanks for the feedback. I'll fix the config issues later on in Beta, I'll try to stick to fixing content stuff for the next (and hopefully last) Alpha release. For the diesel exhaust, I think it doesn't use the full exhaust and exists right after the downpipe, making it too loud. I'll fix the nodes to route the exhaust through the entire exhaust system which should also quiet it down. The cone air filter on the base sporty config is a bit of a mistake, I used it to preview the "tuned" state of the base 4 cylinder. Now that there's a base racing version that use those parts, I can return the base sporty config to the standard engine configuration. I'll fix this for the next alpha release. The steering wheel badge is indeed very low res since it's baked into the big interior texture that contains the steering wheel. I'll make it a separate geometry and use the exterior badge texture which is a lot more high res for the next release. I can do the same for the Civetta steering wheel. Thanks for the suggestion! I'll contact the author and ask for permission to reference his mod in my mod.
Hi, excellent mod, but there are some points that you should review such as the details of the front bumper and try to make different headlights to better match the style of Alfa Romeo, Thank you!
I appreciate the feedback! I have reviewed this extensively in the past. The design decisions have been made in accordance to the lore as mentioned in the first post. At this point I consider the design locked and I will not change it any further. I'm personally happy with it not being perfect and content it will not please everyone. If you're referring to config/jbeam work only, please feel free to do so! I'll include them in the mod and give you credit. If you also want to make 3d/2d content, I'd say you should make a different mod, I'd like to keep my mod 100% made by me for design, modelling and textures. A bit of a heads up for anyone thinking of contributing to this mod. I'm accepting credited contributions for the jbeam part, especially the performance tuning: engine/gearbox/suspensions/brakes. I'll ask anyone to wait for the first Beta submission. I'd like to have a crack at it myself before letting willing and more experimented people make it better.
Yes, its 100% JBEAM and I will upload it here so you can test it. (all credits go to bohhu who made the hybrid system, I just made it work here and dont worry I got permisson) Also, for full electric mode you need to set up a binding
