    Is anyone having issues with the game not responding/crashing when trying to switch over to VR with the new update?

    the ui since 0.37 is heavily broken when a long list of parts is shown.
    the ui breaks and struggles and i cant even scroll down the list, and makes the parts selection ui disappear.

    Absolutely wonderful update from the devs, I'm not surprised, these men and women have been cranking out fantastic updates for as long as Beam existed!, i do have a request, do you think it would be possible to add a 1940s car to the base game in the future, i love 1940s cars especially the '41 Plymouth, if that's a possibility that would be wonderful for you all to add, it would make sense since you added the Nine and its from the 1930s, but again, great job Beam devs you made another wonderful update!

    I tend to focus more on the performance aspect of things, a few interesting things to note about 0.37

    The good

    Performance actually got BETTER when spawning a ton of vehicles,



    The UI isn't laggy when tons of props/vehicle are spawned like before

    The Bad

    If you have multiple monitors enabled there is a 10-15fps regression in some scenarios

    System Ram usage went WAY up, like a crazy amount.

    My system specs are

    285K
    32GB DDR5-7200
    RTX 5090

    A few examples.

    Here is grid map with 50 trucks spawned.

    You can see how much more system ram it's using with those vehicles spawned



    Here is a video with 80 traffic cars spawned with 0.36



    Note the 19GB of system ram usage

    Now the same test (same GPU driver) I had a smaller OC on the E-Cores (100mhz less)



    Now i'm right at 31gb (likely over because I only have 32gb of ram)

    Performance is noticeably better but holy crap on the system ram usage.

    I also tested out spawning 40 traffic cars in multiple maps.

    it now takes between 8-10GB of system ram to spawn those cars, and before in 0.36 is was only 3-4gb of system ram.

    Any insights in to this would be great.

    Hey devs!
    Thanks for fixing something in .5 so that I can now at least start a new career) Although I still have issues with memory consumption on large maps like West Coast or Italy. My laptop gets overloaded when I try to start a mission in the career mode and freezes. Or, for example, here's task manager screenshot after 1 garage to garage delivery in Italy. It doesn't seem right that the main process consumes 21G while the recommended RAM size is 16. And I've noticed that the memory consumption gets worse with time. In previous versions I also noticed that I could enter career mode after launching the game but it would also freeze if I play some other map in Freeroam and then try to enter career mode.

    One more thing about garage2garage deliveries: for some reason I didn't receive the blue star for 6km total deliveries after 1 delivery of 8+km

    Anyone else dealing with the issue whenever you spawn multiple vehicles let’s say 10 or Maybe even 8?, well The audio Muffles and cuts out and even engine sounds, road noises, collisions, etc. and those noises just disappear and the audio always muffles and cuts out. Please help. It really sucks because I was planning on doing a highway pileup compilation, and this bug is making it theoretically impossible So I would greatly respect the help from developers or people who can help me with my audio because I also noticed that you can’t set the amount of voices in game..:(

    Is there a Reason for the Scintilla engine to start dying at 9500 RPM even with the "Race" everything? The torque curve already multiplied is down there, and makes no sense for the engine at 10000 RPM be "gutless". And it should rev to 11000 without restrictions (higher Rev limiter). Even with no Exhaust, it does that. Using the Sport intake, and even the sport Block, it still has some weirdness after 9500.

    The bus routes feature of the game doesn't let me switch between buses anymore, it only lets me use the DT40L. Not sure if it has been this way for a while or is a bug within the new update.

    if you record a replay with steering wheel hidden in Other options (vs hiding it in parts list), playing the replay back with wheel visible will show the wheel floating, stuck in place

    So, as I said, I use this configuration for my pedals: virtual axes. I noticed that, whenever the mouse overlaps a UI App, the axis gets cut off and returns to 0% immediately. I suppose this is a bug, so I'd like to report it. Here's a video illustrating the issue: Notice the UI App depicting the Throttle, Brakes and Clutch percentage. Important: This issue happens both on the Windows version (via Proton) and on the native Linux version.

    I would think in the Settings->Gameplay menu, but I don't know. If that doesn't work, it has to be in Settings->Controls. Idk if it isn't that. But I also hate that new feature. The good old days when it would pull up the main menu...

    I sometimes like to download and try new mods, and every time I delete one via the mod manager and then want to resume playing, the vehicle selector goes empty and there is an LUA error. It is possible to get all back to normal by pressing Ctrl+L, but this problem came with 0.37.

    Alright.
    Challenge:
    Grab your favorite car, modded out any way you want, and try to do the Nordschleife in less that 5:19. It's the current world record held on the Nordschleife, and it was set by a Porsche. Fitting. I'm gonna try to get a BMW 2002 modded out and beat that record...
    But, for you who aren't so confident, try to beat 6:11. That was the previous record held by Porsche in 1989.

    Anyways, does anyone know of a Nurburgring map that is comparable with 0.37?

    In Beam or real life? Fitting would be to do it in a ETK K-Series.

    Yes, I "raced" my Asian I-Series 2000 FWD there on tuesday and had no texture issues whatsoever. If you're curious about my time, I'm just gonna say: Yes.
