SOLVED Where did the ENTIRE (unsorted by type) vehicle list go?

Hi friends,
I’m not sure if this has been asked before (I didn’t find/see any posts or threads about this), but I have a “problem.”

In the latest version of the game, I ran into the following annoying issue:


I press Escape → select the Transport tab (from the top menu) → and end up in the vehicle selection menu, which, compared to version 0.36 and earlier, is somehow empty by default



So now, to choose a vehicle, I have to select some corresponding “tags” (which, in my opinion, is ridiculous and inconvenient — I can’t just scroll through the full list and pick, for example, a train or a bike, because now I have to do it through filtering — what the hell!?).

The problem is that there are mods where the vehicle category isn’t assigned (either the authors didn’t set it or set it incorrectly, which in itself is not a big deal and doesn’t matter at all), so finding, say, a bike, plane, or fridge now takes a long time.

I don’t know if I’m just being dumb, or if the game interface really works like this now, or if it can somehow be configured, but I’m asking for help. None of the filter system settings gave the desired result. In fact, clearing the game cache and other standard troubleshooting steps didn’t help either. I also couldn’t find any relevant—or even remotely related—options in the settings.

How can I "restore" or fix the vehicle selection so it works like in previous versions of the game? That is, to show the full list of vehicles loaded in the game, without filtering?

Sorry, but that feels like a weak explanation. Sure, over the 10+ years I’ve been playing, I’ve had glitches caused by buggy mods — conflicts, lags, issues with vehicles or maps, crashes, or failed loads at most.

But this looks completely different: the vehicle list simply doesn’t load until you select tags (????). That’s just bizarre. I honestly thought this was some kind of “new feature/update.”

 

open the game with safe mod, if it works there, its a mod/something youve done issue

 

… I was sure it was the game itself, so much so that I didn’t even think about the obvious “step one.”

....And in my case, the culprit turned out to be Impreza WRX STI 2008



(Ken Block Subaru) a mod that’s been sitting in my folder for a long time, migrating from one game version to the next. It’s a pity — I hope I can get it fixed, since it’s one of the best drift cars.
