I'd imagine they wouldn't want to release an update on a national tragedy, and while I know it doesn't affect people in other countries as much, a majority of BeamNG's playerbase is American. Releasing an update on this date could be considered disrespectful to some.
Yep I know, I just got off work and didn't think of it when I saw the post. I have been off the forums more than I'd like and just wanted to check that I haven't missed somethig Thank you guys
Even though it doesn’t affect most of us, it is disrespectful to the americans. That may mean the update is tomorrow.
as an American I don't think it would be disrespectful at all however I was not alive when it happened so it could be disrespectful to some
If you could bet on why 0.37 isn't released - because of 9/11 or it just needs more work probably 90% the latter will be true. Following the ~3 month update cycle it should be released by the end of next week. Im pretty sure 9/11 has nothing to do with anything.
no? 911 has been since before 2001 --- Post updated --- The number 911 was chosen for the universal emergency telephone system in the United States by AT&T in 1968 because it is brief, easy to remember and dial, and was a unique number that did not conflict with any existing area codes or service codes
It’s weird we study other countries and appreciate their beauty, yet those same countries often view the US solely as a place where we eat hamburgers and idolize eagles. This narrow perspective doesn't do justice to the complexity and diversity of American culture.
I hope they realize overcharging for a game will kill it entirely..also isnt price gouging while something is OBVIOUSLY incomplete a violation of moral sense. Along with violating steams tos or some financial laws or something???? --- Post updated --- Im too tired today to dig into stuff and be extremely precise about that topic. If anyone else wants to nerd out. Lets take the financial bs and shove it into an off topic thread
To summarize it, it’s a very lame idea. No one is gonna buy some game that’s worth 100 dollars and it’s in Early Access. Just keep the game price around 20-30 bucks and it’ll be fine.
You both missed the very obvious joke. I mean, some Americans do that. I'd say that a majority of Americans have a very narrow world view, though. I mean, I'm sure they know about it, it's just not something they think about often. After all, it didn't happen in their country.
I'm trying to get friends to buy the game, but at the moment they are legit already waiting for it to go on sale, any more expensive and chances are they wouldn't even consider buying it.
To be fair, I always try to wait for a game to go on sale to purchase it. Everyone loves a good deal.
