They won't be released in this version (which is scheduled to be released around 10th-15th August), as it requires a lot of work due to large number of available German license plate designs, as well as a very big number of modded cars to add support for. Currently, I'm adding support for old Hungarian and Romanian plate dimensions for vanilla and some modded cars, which is the last part of the update. It won't be so time-consuming, because only cars that were produced before 1990 (Hungary) or 1993 (Romania) will get the possibility to have these plates. Regarding 40x11 cm German plates, I'll add them in the following update (probably in October). However, I think that 38x11 cm would be a better choice, as plates of this size can fit 4 characters too (or 5 for Engschrift) and it's already used for old Austrian plates. I hope that players won't complain about such a big amount of license plate sizes to select from (I've heard some complaints about that from other modders)
Ohh alright haha, just figured you didn't wanna do them since you never replied to my question before, sorry. Are thy 38x11 tho? The German registration website says that they have 33x11, 40x11, 42x11, 46x11 and of course 52x11 plate formats, so I just thought it was 40cm and not 38
They have: 33x11, 34x11, 36x11, 38x11, 40x11, 42x11, 44x11, 46x11, 48x11, 52x11 and if you want you can get even smaller sizes custom made (like 30x11)

What's exactly the problem? Does it show "no texture" when selecting any specific German plate design? Or German license plates don't show at all in the license plate selection menu, but plates of all other countries do? Have you tried cleaning the cache? Did it fix the problem? Does this issue persist when you disable other mods? That's very interesting, because everything works as it should on my PC. The German license plates .jbeam file hasn't been changed at all since version 1.2, so if everything was OK in that version, it theoretically should work without any problems also in the mod's version 1.3. The only change regarding German plates in version 1.3 were adding support for narrow numbers on DIN (pre-1995) plates and fixing the character position on red DIN plates. I'd like to know if other players also have this issue.
I will try clear cache, because when I reinstall the 1.2 version it will show up but 1.3 it will not show up in the selection menu it work after clean cache, sorry for the bother
Hi, rukatsunderi. I've just tested your new 1958-1990 Hungarian license plates and found an issue with 30x9 cm front plate. It shows "NO TEXTURE", I tried to clean cache and it didn't help. I started deactivating every license plate mod and I found a mod that causes that issue: It's Norwegian License Plate Mega Pack (https://www.beamng.com/resources/norwegian-license-plate-mega-pack.23821/) by -Smaen-. It seems like that small "narrow" (30,3x8,5 cm) plate in this mod have the same ID as 30x9 cm front 1958-1990 Hungarian plate. Because then I deactivated Norwegian License Plate Mega Pack mod, the 30x9 cm plate started working as it should. So I can make a conclusion that Central Europe Plates mod is incompatible (partially) with Norwegian License Plate Mega Pack mod. -Smaen- should be awared about this and make a patch fix for compatibility. P.S. Issue happened with standard and black 1958-1990 Hungarian license plates. Edit: Issue also causes by Scandinavian License Plate Pack mod (https://www.beamng.com/resources/scandinavian-license-plate-pack.30531/) made by RealVector.
Thanks for letting me know! I can confirm that this issue ("no texture" instead of license plate when both Central Europe Plates and Norwegian License Plate Mega Pack are active) also exists on my machine. In the next version, I'll change the ID of my Hungarian 30x9 cm license plates (probably to "300-90"), so it will become fully compatible with Norwegian License Plate Mega Pack again. Because of the large number of available license plate sizes, in order to avoid duplication with existing plates, I'm using a slightly different ID system (with millimeters instead of centimeters) for some license plate sizes. At a certain point before, I also tried to use letters in the license plate ID to be sure no other mods will use them, but unfortunately it didn't work in my case. It was a bit interesting, because IDs like "yellow" for rear license plates from JorgePinto's European Plates Compilation work without any problems.
Are you going to add 1961-1992 Yugoslavian plates in the next version of the mod? If yes, make every type of them (standard, temporary, trailer, police, etc.) Here's the link for Yugoslavian plates: http://worldlicenseplates.com/ Find Europe, click on it. Then click on Yugoslavia.
I haven't posted about new plates for a moment, because since my last post, I made only new Slovak export plates (as I finally managed to find a decent photo of them), as well as correct US-sized plates for some types of Slovak 1997-2004 plates (they look the same as 24x15 cm plates, but with 3 cm of blank space in the left/right). Instead of adding new plates, I decided to focus on something else - currently I'm updating textures to match the new format, so there will be no need for an additional fix - as the previous version of my mod changed the material of standard EU plate, license plates from other mods didn't look well with my mod activated - now it won't be a problem anymore. Also, I changed IDs of some plates ("300-92" for Hungarian '58-'90 front plate and "230-212" for Hungarian '58-'90 rear double-row plate) to ensure that this mod will be compatible with Norwegian License Plate Mega Pack. My next step is to fix normals of 3D models of all places, like it was done with standard EU plates in version 0.37. The hotfix will be released soon - after that I'll start creating new plates, my priorities are: 1. more variants of plates from registration systems that already exist in my mod, as well as adding support for 38x11 cm German plates 2. plates from older systems (including German Democratic Republic and maybe Yugoslavia), if there aren't any work-in-progress mods of them already

will there be a option in a later update to turn that inspection sticker thing off? since i dont want it being different everytime i spawn it, or maybe a system so we can choose them? so we could also have expired inspection and stuff.
Hello, everyone! I haven't written for a while, as I've been doing something not related to BeamNG.drive, but recently I started working on the next update. So here's what I've made so far: 1992-2016 Croatian license plates will be replaced by two separate variants: 1992-2007 plates and 2007-2016 plates. I have noticed that at some point (probably in 2007) the font was slightly changed (it's most noticeable with digits 5, 6, 9 and letter S), so I decided to include an older variant too. Slovenian plates with narrow font, both 2008-current design (currently used for some personalized plates) and 2004-2008 design (which was issued also for standard plates in some regions) will be added as separate designs. Before then, character width was decreased when there were at least 8 characters, now there will be a possibility to choose the font width (narrow fonts have completely new textures - they aren't just scaled existing sprites). That's not enough, because the new version will also include Croatian temporary and test plates, which are issued as stickers. They will be only available as standard EU plates (52x11 cm), despite these plates being slightly smaller (approx. 49x9 cm). Also, they will be first non-embossed plates in my mod. My next plans for this version include adding support for new size of German license plates (38x11 cm), as well as license plates of East Germany (German Democratic Republic) - only 1976-1990 East German plates will be included, as they had standardized font. Also, recently I found out that in July 2025, Slovakia introduced some changes to their special plates. For example, private export plates now have different format: "V-111AA" instead of "AA-VA111" and import plates (beginning with C) have a new design - number format: "C 111AA", made of plastic (non-embossed), with Slovak coat of arms instead of Euroband in the top left. As there were some questions posted after the release of latest version, my duty is to answer them: @okr, currently the only way of changing the expiration date is to delete the last character and quickly retype it. As you can see, it's actually possible to set the exact expiration date (not as a text in the "registration number" field, but in a slightly different way), as it's increased by 1 month per second (repeating every 30 seconds), with initial date set to 3 months from now (for example, in October 2025, expiration dates from January 2026 to June 2028 can be chosen). But I can change it in the next version if you want, so plates can be generated with all 6 colors of stickers. You'll have to wait a bit for ability to drive with an expired registration though - it will be possible after 1 February 2026, as my textures include stickers with years from '26 to '31. Unfortunately, adding possibility to change the sticker's expiration date as a part of a registration number will cause some problems with seasonal or interchangeable license plates, as they already have customization options (especially in case of DIN seasonal plates, where there are already two switches: for narrow Engschrift numbers and months of validity), so probably customization of technical inspection date directly in the "registration number" text field would be possible only with standard plates (unless I find a good solution). @TechFox, I can't see this image, it shows an error "This content is no longer available". But from what I've seen, default German and Italian plates are also affected by this. I think it's normal, because all plates look brighter when exposed to sunlight, so I don't think it's related to my mod. I've checked it myself - there is no visual color difference between default EU plates and my mod's rear plates. I suggest cleaning the cache, because it might be caused by some assets from previous mod version (1.3.0) still being loaded by the game, despite using the newest version (1.3.1).
