Hello all you beamng drive fans! This is Evan Newcomb! And I bring you an idea like no other. Just picture this a bold, cab-forward fire truck with a tall, boxy stance and sweeping curves around the windshield — just like the rigs you’d see racing down city streets in the 1970s and ‘80s. The front end is all business: flat-faced, with twin round headlights, steel bumper, and that unmistakable old-school charm. Built on a heavy-duty frame, this truck would feature side compartments, a rear hose bed, and all the bells and whistles of a real workhorse fire apparatus. Whether it’s pulling up to a smoky structure fire, parked at a parade in perfect polished condition, or abandoned and rusting behind a barn, the Gavril CF would look right at home. Configuration Ideas: Here are some potential builds — but I’d love your input! Classic Engine 1 – 1970s-style pumper with hose load and ladders Rescue Squad – Crew cab with tools, rescue gear, and side compartments Wildland Fire Unit – Off-road capable version with high clearance and brush guard Airport Crash Truck – Foam cannon up front, side nozzles, high-volume tank Restored Showpiece – Parade-ready, polished chrome, historical decals Abandoned Rig – Rust, faded paint, cracked windows — perfect for scenarios Halloween Ecto Unit – Spooky livery, ghost-fighting lights, and sirens! Liveries and Textures: Retro Fire Department Red with gold or white striping Northeast-style White-over-Red Custom liveries for Beam County, Liberty City, Gavril FD Aged and weathered textures for barn finds or scrapyard scenes ❓Questions for the Community: What unique features should the Gavril CF have? (Detailed pump panel? Working hose reels? Opening gear compartments?) What configurations or time periods would you like to see? (Urban firefighting, rural units, big city setups, etc.) Do you want this to be ultra-realistic, or also have creative/fun builds? Do you have Mack CF photos, blueprints, or department references to share? Should it include built-in support for emergency lights/sirens mods like Beacon Pack? This mod could fill a big gap in BeamNG’s emergency vehicle lineup — classic, American, and full of character. Whether for roleplay, film projects, or just cruising the map in vintage style, the Gavril CF would be a real centerpiece. Looking forward to hearing your feedback and seeing what ideas the community has! Thanks for your time and stay safe out there!
Even though modders dont really take these suggestions in consideration (at least, from what I have seen), this idea is very nice! Never thought of such vehicle to be in Beamng.
Really? Thanks! I’ve been doing a lot of research on these vintage fire engines. And I did know that these machines can handle anything. Even firefighting. Cool huh.
I didnt even know that these machines were actually durable lol Well, Beamng would need some vintage truck as a whole, that would be absolutely sick (for example Ford C-Series, at least this is what comes to my mind first)
Yeah, absolutely! Although, I wanted to ask if the wildfire build is realistic. I mean, were there actually somewhat off-road firetrucks in that time? Also I would personally call it Gavril CF-Series, to make it look more fitting along with other Gavril cars
Well, unfortunately The real Mack cf Fire trucks aren’t built for off road, but there is a type of truck that does. It’s called a Brush truck. Brush trucks are designed to put out wild fires, do rescue operations, and even rescue animals from high above. Best of all, All brush fire trucks still do the same thing the other fire trucks do. They save the community from fire and keep them safe. But still. I would love to see that next month. You got plenty of time to work on them before September comes.
Oh, I feel like knowing nothing about firetrucks after reading this message! Sorry, I am not a modder. Even if I could create vehicles for this game, I think no person would be able to make a vehicle, especially a truck under a month. Well, except of course if it is a meshslap or created via Automation (cant really do both of these things, although I still plan on getting Automation when I will have time of course)
Not like everyone is confused, but making mods for Beamng is god damn hard, man. Mods here can be in WIP state for months or even years.
And well, some modders dont. You know, it is hard to make a project for some random game for free when it is just a mod and takes so much energy from you. And people also have life, so having mods being cancelled even when 50% of work has been done is a real thing here, and not even a rare one.
"The front end is all business: flat-faced, with twin round headlights, steel bumper, and that unmistakable old-school charm."This mod could fill a big gap in BeamNG’s emergency vehicle lineup — classic, American, and full of character. Whether for roleplay, film projects, or just cruising the map in vintage style, the Gavril CF would be a real centerpiece." This is totally AI. Nobody writes like this.
At this point I will just continue talking to him because why not lmao In order to progress beyond the current conceptual stasis and to ensure the subsequent phases of design, specification, and eventual procurement align with the utmost precision to your foundational, and as of yet unarticulated, perceptual paradigms, we find ourselves compelled to solicit a more granular exposition from your esteemed person. Therefore, might I prevail upon you to delineate, with a significantly greater degree of specificity, the comprehensive set of visual, morphological, and semiotic characteristics that would constitute your ideal manifestation of a specialized, land-based, mobile platform designed for the rapid mitigation of aeronautical fire-related incidents? We are particularly interested in your preferred schema concerning its vehicular architecture, the chromatic and textural palette of its external livery, the ergonomic and aesthetic integration of its primary and secondary extinguishing agent delivery systems, and the overall design language you believe would most effectively communicate its operational efficacy and institutional gravitas within the aerodrome environment. Your detailed articulation on this matter is paramount for the subsequent translation of your abstract vision into a tangible engineering brief.
