TrackpadUser updated Blackpool Superlite with a new update entry: Bunch of small fixes Read the rest of this update entry...
Really enjoying the new update! The road variants now feel much less skittish to drive and are more like how I (someone whose only experience with caterhams are through youtube vids and magazine articles) would imagine them to drive in real life.
One thing I think you should add is wide flares, I like the look of the flares but some wheels dont fit under them
Started working on a plan for variants which I think should work to have a full lineup all the way to the late 60s. I chose that start year mostly because that's when the Lotus 7 S3 started, and from the info I can find when they started running crossflow engines with similar displacement and power to the Miramar 1600cc engine. In green are the variants that currently exist. Having started working on it, it feels like it's going to be one of those projects that will take both less and more time than I think it should. Most variants are already in game with functional engines, but there's a lot of small thingies here and there to do to ensure variants are period correct. Stuff like a new dash variant for the earliest versions, a boot cover that supports running no roll bar, new mirrors, wheels, etc, etc. I'll see how it goes and try to post updates here once in a while.
Some progress pics. Made a few more thingies for the offroad variant. The oldest lower performance variant, with no roll hoop. And an earlier race car variants.
This looks so sick, I cant wait for this update. btw has there been any progress on that old formula race car?

i love this mod a lot, however the newly added miramar engines lack textures, and the 1.6L SOHC one has a cable that sticks out of the hood
Try this; after you spawned the early Superlite 1.6, spawn a Miramar next to it. Then just press Ctrl + R (make sure the Superlite is your current car, leave the Miramar as a spawned car), and check the engine again (check the last image from this post). --- Post updated --- Also, two things I've noticed; the 660cc engine exhaust is missing one or two nodes near the body of the car, which causes some weird flexing when revving the engine (see the uploaded clip). There's also one of the cables of the distributor cap from the Miramar engine clipping through the hood (as already pointed by woro)
thanks, the resetting strat does work, however i kinda wish it gets fixed next update so you don't need to spawn the miramar every time you wanna drive an old superlite.
I nearly forgot, the new roof causes damage near the rear end when equipped on the Superlite 80S and 600 configs. Seems like it's too heavy for the Lightweight Coilovers
Right... For the texture it seems a mod I had installed puts a copy of the miramar engine materials in the "common" files (which is something you should never do), and I incorectly thought that was vanilla like with the Covet engines... As for the wire I'm not sure how I hadn't noticed that. Will fix. The exhaust thing seems to also exist on the 1300cc exhaust, although it might have been less visible for whatever reason. I'll make something better for both. Seems to be more of an issue when using the spare holder in combination with the roof. Should be an easy fix.
@TrackpadUser Superb update, but the V8 has no radiator option, haven't looked much into the classic configs or lower-powered engines yet. Also what do you think of a turbocharged option for the I6's (with a different intercooler layout)?
The other variants seem to have their radiator. I probably forgot to add the slot to the V8 when I moved the radiator slot from the chassis to the engines due to the Miramar engine using different radiators with the mechanical fan. The I6 was more of a quick thing thrown in to make an LFS LX6 kind of equivalent. I'm not really interested in putting more work on it considering the car already has so many engine options.
