soo yeah have i missed any major update or this steering still breaks? haven't heard about this mod being updated in a while now.
Will this mod be receiving any updates? being the only mod I've paid for I hope it won't be deprecated like the Scout. Namely the two main issues I have is 1. Medium intensity collisions have the weird effect of increasing the track width of the car? Sometimes in collisions the rear wheels literally offset outwards of the car (as if they had an extreme track width) but remain attached. 2. Some parts, such as "Quick Ratio Drift Steering" have a very low integrity value in the JBEAM file causing them to be rather fragile, as most underbody components of the car are. Also, this isn't a bug and I'm not sure if it's just typical of this car, but the comment I saw earlier "looks like a Barstow, drives like a LeGran" feels accurate lol. Hope to see some updates planned in the future, Thanks!
i love this mod (i only own the demo) and compatibility with zeit radio would be so good but overall i love the mod and the car obv its very fun to cruise in and maybe ill buy it, for now ill stick to the demo lol
Might be the move at this point tbh, I feel kinda slighted that I paid for this mod because it was like my dream to have this era of muscle car in BeamNG and now I've been left with a perpetual release version with no updates in well over half a year.
this mod has been my final reason to just stop buying lbe mods unless the next one is something i just need to have in the game its not really worth buying (in my opinion atleast)
Right? Like heck, we haven't even gotten minor bug fixes, let alone an actual update that adds the additional content that was spoken of (IRS, customization, etc). For the creator who literally started the whole "paid mod" movement and has even tried to pioneer a proprietary/paid repository system, it just seems kind of....rude to leave the paying customers that have given him success high and dry. This was my first paid mod, and it will be my last. At least from LBE.
My question is how has he given the '94 K-Series more attention? Nb even talk abt that mod anymore? Im starting to lose my hope tbh
Just give it time, y'all. All of their other mods have been updated so far, this could be next. No idea if the Lotus Emira style car they're making will come before a new Barstow update but still got to have some hope.
I don't understand why some people believe they're entitled to regular updates. I test all of my mods every time the game is updated and the Barstow works fine as of 0.36. I publish hotfixes as fast as I reasonably can whenever a mod-breaking game update is published (such as recently with the Scout and Picnic that both received updates to fix 0.36-caused bugs). The K-Series received new content because I felt like it absolutely needed it. It is still my only non-paid lore-friendly vehicle after all, I don't want it to feel outdated, it's still meant to represent my work after all. This was meant to get worked on. This was meant to receive an update in which previously discussed features (IRS, more parts, etc.) were meant to be included. Unfortunately I have been quite inactive community-wise lately and I have felt the need to take a bit of a step back after somewhat of a burnout. This happens. I'm human too. Not some evil money-grabbing entity like some of you seem to think. You're free to believe paid mods are useless and that you will never buy one again. If the lack of updates motivates you to not get more stuff from me, that's fine. I don't have anything against it. But please don't act like it was written somewhere all along that you'd get monthly new content. I'm still just a guy and can only deal with so much stuff at once in my life. I exist outside of this forum too. Hope you guys can understand. I still love modding, even though I've been close to quitting multiple times mostly due to community problems. This game has literally been part of half my life at this point.
Hi, you may not know me, but i do able to know you because i like how you had make the game a better experience with your dev quality mods. And your barstow mod? It is literally the first ever paid mod i purchased, and i never regret that finanical decision because i know i had made a good buy when i aware that the author behind the mod had poured his heart and soul into one single mod. It's ok for you to take a break from modding for awhile, and i here to thank you for your contribution to the modding scene to beamng while inspire many other modders to improve
I would like to add that people should never buy anything unless they are happy with its current state, as opposed to what any planned updates entail. This goes for any type of software, and especially - but not only - those that are in some kind of beta state. Plans can always change, the creator may go bankrupt or otherwise disappear in the meantime, and yet those plans are often taken as gospel. It is, of course, reasonable to expect plans to generally come to fruition, but if you are looking for a legally binding contract, you are looking at something else entirely. If your purchase is conditioned on planned updates, there is absolutely no reason for you to purchase now. Software preorders is the absolute worst example of this.
