Version Downgrading

Hi everyone, I'm working on a cinematic project inspired by old car chases from the 1970s and 1980s. I'm looking for a way to access BeamNG v0.24.1.3 (or v0.24.1.2) because the Oldsfullsize mod's headlight textures worked perfectly in those versions. If anyone has a backup or suggestions for safe archival sources, I'd be incredibly grateful. This is part of a larger effort to preserve and honor older BeamNG aesthetics. It is also a version(s)where the mod selection was great! (And yes... I know that the Oldsfullsize refresh mod demo exists) And yet again there are more broken mods that worked in that timeline, so most of this is about mods.

 

I have posted a thread like this some time ago and SimSimW replied. He said that you have to open Steam Console (Search about it on google) and type a code on it. It just worked, and to this day i still have the old version. Btw the code is download_depot 284160 284161 8328547917553689659 for the version 0.6. You can find more of these codes on SteamDB.

Sadly, steam locked the depot downloader for the specific version I am seeking! Thanks for helping though!

 

Does it need to be 0.24? I know you can get 0.23 via the beta participation tab on steam.

 

I am looking for a time frame where the moohnhawk monaco vibes mod the oldsfullsize mod and the d series addon all function, so not strictly but really any time frame with all three of those mods function just fine!

 

Entering in download_depot 284160 284161 3595990745762852080 in the Steam console works fine for me to get 0.24.1.3.

One thing that it is having trouble with... I downloaded it twice because it wasn't launching and it seems that the steam console skips over a few files when doing it. I can still tell the code you gave me does something, so I will have to use that and if anyone has any ideas, please reply to this thread. And I much appreciate the code!

 

That's strange, it works fine for me. I was able to launch the old version no problem by opening the launcher exe found at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_284160\depot_284161\BeamNG.drive.exe

 

Huh, for me it always exits unexpectedly and gives me the error and a support forum. I have tried many things but cannot figure out the problem!

 

Any way you could share the file? Totally fine if not!
